When playing as Nexus, you may pick to go for heavy armor branch essentially those walkers and some tracked tanks at expense of losing on hovers and thus mobility, else Nexus remains primarily as hover units army being most fast and real swarmer army. That guess is wrong tho, Mod was actually not developed for many months in any shape or form in last year and some of the work is actually much older. More on League and Osiris soon :)

I would expect more or less what has been shown and will be shown shortly and hopefully still some things you wont expect but I've more or less done all I can do on this engine so surprises are running short. future...time will tell but atleast an alpha.

Not using Ares thus mobile alphas arent my thing and I prefer an animation with frames thus easier to attach actual feature to it

Just be aware, pictures shown are 2.0 version and 1.99 is terrible predecessor and would be erased off the net once 2.0 got done. Single player hopefully work out something if only play originals in the mod flavor.
Well, mod is back in production, didn't feel that was worthy enough for actual news and well mod still needs to wrap up its technological branches ideally and each faction stolen technology mixes but my creativity is mostly out on those, no dumb uncounterable things like chrono demo truck wanted :D

Alright, will look into it. As for TI, I'm member of it as well or well did bulk of visual effects way back along some audio and generic coding tips and even TI is taking ages to get all done given talent is limited.
On the flip side, mod will get flamed for subpar work on various parts as a whole its more of a ambitious mess than solid product given it started more as a gameplay experiment to push the edges where everyone else kept it restrained or else screwed balance in process. Plans are for alpha release at best but can't say I like that option as I did subpar releases in past already and I am doomed to repeat that once again seemingly while I vowed not to but ideals fade in time.
Well, I have been opposed to writing a mod story beyond what the manual tells as campaign plans were supposed to tell the horrific story of survival but regrettably campaign is likely never to be done given I can't seem to finish actual mod even not to mention workload involved and typing up whole story plot campaign would tell would just kinda ruin it if I actually ever get to tell the plot via campaign as ppl would know every surprise in advance and generally appreciation for plain text is low as people want visuals & audio rather to tell the story else lose interest quick. Well, do you think the mod creator owns a crystal ball to tell him precisely when his done or otherwise gonna be pleased with it enough to release instead of stick to date forcibly and release crap trying keep nonsense dates? Its easy to request such but so narrow minded.
Always a chance for everything in life, just uncertain in what shape or form. Presently is not being developed due to lack of interest on my part and low community interest/helpers.

I would advise to make a shortcut to syringe or alternatively override the ares 0.1 files in launchbase with 0.3 may work sufficiently or simply ares files included in subfolder with the mod that LB activates, commented more on these in revora forum.
All you need is RA2:YR install patched to 1.001 (not 1.000!) must be legal version not cracked.

and launch via runares.bat or alternatively try manage with launchbase to activate ARES. If you encounter notable miscolorisation bits you have used possibly 0.1 of ARES via launch base, if larger issues, you have run the game entirely without ARES and mod won't work at all.

Well, xcc mixer and shp builder can import for example PNG frames into a palette of choosing within the game shp or you may go the hard route of making custom palette but better quality, say render a sprite sheet and turn it to palette that way nicely and adjust palette with the near blacks to be minimal and solid black as first index to have good cleaning results upon convert.
Well, fumefx for example plugin if working with 3dsmax, there are alot of different industry tools and even I do not use them all, some tools are better for some things and less for others, it really is about experimenting with each tool to get results you like and tools I have listed are more than enough to get started.
Countless tools, 3dsmax combustion and various plugins, particle illusion, lhfire, explogen just to name a few.
Well, I've been more pooling effort into PP and RS is far lesser refined presently than PP is given my scope is even larger with 4 factions... Really wanna do alpha release this year when main total overhauls to quality and features are in place.
