The Witcher 2 is in a league of its own. I wish the Elder Scrolls would concentrate on the PC first and foremost too, for optimal results, but that's probably wishful thinking. I don't know about the modding for Witcher 2 either, but I can swear that the Elder Scrolls has the best community and tools around modding I've ever seen and that's what's keeping me producing stuff for the games.

Naah, you ain't got issues, for the fall of the Roman Empire is the most debated historical topic in western history. I bet you've read it already, but for anyone else with an interest in the area, I can recommend Gibbon's Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, written in the 18th century, actually, which is a great beginning for those who want to learn more about this topic. You'll also learn a lot about 18th century thinking too, since the author is really modern with some surprisingly modern thoughts and opinions.

Whyever would I do that? There's no reason to go into a digression about the history of Rome on a fantasy mod page; the fall of Western Rome and Byzantine history. Most people think of Rome as it was during its height with Caesar, Augustus and Trajan, they think of Gladiators, togas and Cleopatra when I mention Imperial Rome, and most people can relate to what I mean when I talk about the "the Empire surviving into the Middle Ages" and just mentioning Imperial Rome creates certain images in peoples' minds.

The mod is load order sensitive. You need to load the DibellasWatchBeta07.esp right after Oblivion.esm. This is done easily with OBMM (Oblivion Mod Manager).

There is a text file included with the zip that explains exactly how to get the mod running. The laod order sensitivity is not good, I know, and it will be dealt with in future updates of the mod.

"1. Some people report a "GFC error: failed to initialaize the primary control theme" error loading the mod. In some cases reinstalls have resolved it, in others it seems to be caused when Civ4 isn't installed in the typical location (under Program Files/Firaxis Games/)."

Ah! Missing Interface. Try this. Find the Fairy Tale.ini file in the Fairy Tale folder where you installed it. It's right at the top under Mods/Fairy Tale. Open it using a text editor like Notepdad (just double clicking on it should do it). Find the lines where it says

; Custom Art from user folder is not loaded
NoCustomArt = 0

; Custom XML and Python from user folder are not loaded
NoCustomAssets = 0

Change the numbers to one. Like NoCustomArt = 1 and NoCustomAssets = 1 Then save the file.

That should do it. Now run the mod again and try it out. Report if it works, and if it doesn't, we'll figure out something else, but I think this is the problem.

Here is some troubleshooting in the meantime. Have you installed all the game files to the correct folder? Wow! Excellent! I am doing a game myself right now. I am also writing a story - or rather description - of it as I play. I do that when playtesting as it makes the tedious job of playtest much more fun. I publish it on CivFanatics, if you want to give it a look. Forums.civfanatics.com That must be the Elchers Clan you're talking about. They used to be very similtar to the drunken Dal, but I made the Elchers stand out a bit with better units and so on.

Thanks. Most units are downloadable on the CivFanatics database. Some units are really cumstom-made for this mod too and a whole bunch have received completely new reskins for this mod. To get the landscape to look like this, you need BlueMarble, which makes terrain graphics look cooler.

Thank you. I am trying rather hard to maintain the fun factor of it all, although one sometimes gets too involved with the petty technical details of modding. Maintaining a fun, balanced and exciting gaame is really important.

I'm watching! I used to play Daggerfall to death and it still brings me strong feelings! I think Morrowind is the best game in the series, but a remake of old Daggerfall will be most welcome. Wow!

Nice! You probably have the nicest units ever for Civilization IV. Those Napoleonic ones are just awesome. I use some of your units, Walter Hawkwood, in my own mod too. I can't wait for the BtS version of this one. Excellent job!

The Crystallin is one of the nations that's the most fun to mod. I have the most fun making the evil empires of beasts, demons and dragons, AND the Crystallin nation of hot-babes. Haha! Who could've thought, eh?

Wow! This game is still alive! I am so impressed. I love the game and have been playing GTA since the first release in the nineties. I haven't played the new one though, but indeed San Andreas, which I absolutely love! Nice to see that talented modders are keeping it alive.

Hähä. Snyggt! I'm currently working on the Imperial Scenario The Great War where you will play the Evil side. In that one you will have all the other dark nations as allies and you will take on the rest of all the nations in Fairy Tale. It plays on a 100x100 map, so it should pose quite a challenge.

Hi. You need Civ IV and Beyond the Sword patched to 3.19. If you want links to get those, I can post them here, so just tell me if you need them. Also, I recommend Blue Marble, but that one is very much optional. Playing the Collective is actually the most fun. Try them out in the scenario "The Collective War" first, where you get to conquer and destroy the entire civilized world. It's always more fun to be the destroyer, innit? :)

I don't quite get what it's all about. You should make a clear description on the front page of what it is up to the player to do. What is the player's mission in the game? I take it it is a strategy game of some sort where you build a village into a city? Am I correct? As such it seems very interesting though.
