Just wanted to congratulate you guys on what is an awesome quality mod. I've worked on a UT3 mod so know how hard it is to get stuff out of the door in a short timeframe, let alone stuff of this quality. Thanks alot for what will I'm sure provide many hours of entertainment and my best wishes for any future commercial release.

Sadly it's mcuh harder to get onto the xbox than it is PS3... Shacknews.com Xbox support will only really be possible if we are a massive success and we can get talking to epic/microsoft.

The PS3 is a viable option that we will look at, since there is at least a basic infrastructure there. We are not 100% sure of sucess as there could be technical issues but when the time comes we will give it a go.

You send it to Epic and ask them very nicely if they will put it on the Xbox internet for you...

We aren't quite at that stage yet. There are still some elements that need fixing up before we can show you so much of the game.

We would prefer to wait a bit and show you something quality rather than rushing out something that looks half complete and messy.

It wont have in the first version as it will take a lot of time and coding to get even half decent bots but this is something that we will work on adding in the future.

The majority of our maps are now constructed using static meshes rather than BSP since the Unreal 3 engine is designed such that meshes give better overall performance. Also static meshes can be duplicated many times with a relatively small effect on performance compared to BSP.

The next release will be a full preview of Fusion so will probably give you a more representaive view of the overall quality at this stage in the development.

This game is being developed with the UT3 engine. You will need a copy of UT3 to play.

We havent set a firm release date yet but we are looking at entering the game into the next phase of the Make Something Unral Contest in some form or another.

Having said that, no deadlines are certain in the modding game really as you cant anticipate every possibility, but we are happy with our current level of progress.

Yes it will, however we anticicpate that they will be quite retarded in the first couple of releases while we focus on getting the online side straight. But a couple of releases down the line we are looking to fix them up, as we know that there are some people who prefer to play offline.

Not in our first release as we are looking to keep the work to a minimum to get the game out :D but yes that is something that we are looking to do in the future.

There are a few issues but we are really going to look into it. Obviously if it's going to take us 12 months to get it to consoles its probably not worth it, but a console release is one of our long term objectives.

What you mean like COD 4, COD5 and Far Cry 2? (ok mayby not farcry so much XD)

The thing is if we try and compete directly with COD then we won't win, sadly we are not a large studio and as such our graphics will not be the same as the multimillion dollar stuff. So to that end we are making a game with personality. Thats not to say its going to be ugly, just that we consider gameplay as (or more) important than graphics.

When I write some news for TA I have to decide what sort of audience I am aiming at as it is simply not possible to make everyone happy without writing a novel.

In this case I have decided to give a simplified overview of the process, this is not intended as a tutorial but to introduce some of the principles to those who have no experience in 3D asset creation. I feel that this news post has summarised the process with a fair degree of accuracy although as you point out there are some omissions.

We are looking to bring out some more detailed tutorials in the future, especially with respect to getting assets into UT3. We feel that sharing some of the things that we have learnt (and are still learning) while making this game is really important as it will help to benefit the mod community overall.

Unfortunatley, as you will know the process of making a mod is very time consuming and so I hope that you can forgive us for not doing everything all at once.

My guess would be that its a combination of your grapics card and UT2k4... I know there were issues in TO:C with the 8800's. Im not sure we ever came to a conclusion or soultion though.

Well for the first release we are going for online only but later on we do want to work an offline mode in. It will take quite some work but we think it will be worth it.

As for the heli, it will be animated but it wont be part of the gameplay. We decided that vehicles didn't fit our style. Dont rule out a vehicle mutator in the future mind :-D
