I recently downloaded erie and everytime i launch it it says erie encountered a problem and needed to close. how do i fix this?? any ideas?

UDK.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. What does this mean. I know my cpu is plenty fast enough to run it. I have done everything i can think of including installing .NET framwork and DirectX9. I really want to play this can someone help?
