I have tried mat_queue and it did work. Then I reinstalled the mod so maybe I should readd that command. :/

Apologies for acting like such a prick, I get angry whenever this stuff happens, and I know for a fact that my computer can run Source games but here are my specs anyways.

I get these problems usually after a minute I join the game, after I first spawn. It could be the blood decals; anyway to restore them to the Source default blood?

Please help me diagnose and correct the problem. Sorry again for coming off as an *******, these issues are annoying and get frustrating fast.

This is really starting to **** me off. No matter what server I play on I get a lot of lag and bad FPS. Don't say that it's because of my connection or because I have a "crap video card"; fix it! This is a nice mod but it is becoming a pain in the *** to play with all these problems. Maybe address this in 1.1. Until then, I quit. I'm fed up with this being the only Source game I have with problems.

It's a constant thing. It's not that much of a problem but it kind of ruins the playing experience on some maps, like ps_derailed - that map gives me a major slowdown. And also when in a firefight the FPS goes down a bit too.

If you can just offer advice on how to fix it, that'd be appreciated. :)

Hey guys, nice job on the mod. I'm having a bit of a problem with it though.

On any map in multiplayer (playing maps in LAN/create a server produces good FPS) I'm getting low FPS. Is there any remedy to this? I wouldn't want to stop playing this mod due to a problem as minor as this.

Okay guys, some minor news.

1) We will use the DODS player models as placeholders and use few models from that game. All weapons will be custom, all player models will be custom, and a custom rig will also be made late into development. We will also have ironsights & a specific keyboard configuration. How it's going to be set up is that M1 (mouse button 1) will obviously be the fire button; M2 will be the melee button; scrolling M3 up will attach a grenade launcher/bayonet and scrolling down will detach it; and finally, pressing M3 will be the ironsights button, meaning you'll have to switch weapons with the number keys but in the case of pretty much every PC game, you can change the configuration to your liking.

2) As you can see, we took out knifes and the Machine-Gunner class. You can read above for specifics for the bayonets but you can basically attach and detach a bayonet from a rifle (Garand is an exception; it will have no bayonet) or just use the butt of your rifle, handle of your pistol, etc. to kill an enemy. These tactics can be used as a last resort or for pistol-whipping a sniper. We all wanted to do that in a Source game, haven't we? ;)

The MG class has been removed. Now, machine guns will be placed in strategic locations and they replace your primary weapon. You can then fire it by pressing M3 while prone or use it as a light-machine gun in the case of the MG34. There may also be an objective in a map to destroy a certain object with a Bazooka/Panzerfaust and can take ammo from ammo boxes that can be dropped by other players. The objects can be a barricade or map-specific object (like an AA gun). Also, only on one map (Omaha Beach) can bangalore torpedoes be used. They will be issued to the Assault class and are stuck in the sand near a barbed-wire entrenchment to destroy it, ala Medal of Honor.

To be honest, i cannot understand what you're trying to say. The weapons and models are just placeholders (in the case of the weapons, they will be replaced in the mod itself). The guy who made this map put it into DODS and took the picture in that game.

Your advice has helped me and will help with this and future projects. I must've rushed into this like a lot of people do, just to show off. Bad idea. However, here are these people saying that they think Fronts of Battle has potential; thing is, will it ever be accomplished? Sure. But there will have to be patience and lots of it, as well as hard work & assistance. There is no doubt that you have to have a certain amount of progress in order to have people help you out, right? Even thought we may not have much right now, we will soon. The team is in desperate need of assistance just now, however, and a mod isn't based on how it looks or plays, it's about the developers who created it. We are dedicated to see this mod succeed and that it will do. But a group of three or four people isn't going to do much, as three of those are mappers, the other is me, the manager of this project. Mapping is their job in this project; we need others to help us out.

You are a wise guy, Shadow. I respect that. You have taught me how I can survive in this world of modding with just a paragraph or two. I will absolutely take your advice and put it to good use, thank you for it.

And we still need assistance with models, sounds, coding, and animations. If you'd like to help, just drop me a line.
