A fix to the event ticker freeze bug has been made available, so the latest Alpha is now playable - and, unlike the previous ones, quite stable.

Game is now stable, but there is an event ticker bug that kills it around the month change september / october (actual time depends on difficulty level)
It has been known for a weeks time, but there has been no word of a fix...
