Let's make Sony take half their Lemons back! The other half... make lemonade.
Nurb-based modelling software creates a ****-ton of unnecessary polygons. That contributes to poor performance and high memory consumption.
Just take a look at Nurb-based Software such as Rhino or SketchUp versus Non-Nurb software such as Blender or 3DS Max. There is a reason most modellers prefer the latter.
If there is one thing Nurbs are meant for, it is Studio-Quality Renders, but not Game Development.
Did anyone else hear about Studio Liverpool getting closed down?
A shame. WipEout 2048 was still half-finished.
Just because they released it doesn't mean they actually finished it, there were still a lot of things to fix and add.
I still find it hilarious.
I don't rememebr that veritcal Light Bridge being there. Did you guys updatethe map?
Any stuff for WipEout 2097? Studio Liverpool closed down recently, and I want to pay them some respect by putting a 2097 screenshot in one of my blogs.
Yes, I know that it looks like crap.
Oh... now we're 41 out of 8453...
I know this reply is kinda late, but I don't really know how corporate merging works on ModDB. You could ask the guys who run the site.
Well, it glitched up for me. I'm going to tell ModDB to fix it.
If it glitches up for you, then I'll try to get it fixed.
HOLY ****! 38 out of 8447!
:D :D :D :D

You should make the corners banked slightly, and add inclines going inwards on the edges of the platforms. That might make it slightly easier to navigate it (right now, it looks kind of difficult).
Also, if you are noticing any noticable performance drop, then you should edit some of the models and start getting rid of all of those unnecessary polygons (Valve needs to stop using Nurbs).
Finally, are the gels going to make it in? If so, you should find a way to get them to work the way they do with the player.
You should make the Gravity Gun count as a Dynamic Light Source. It might not make it into the mod, but you may as well do it.
For all of you working on Slipstream GX, feel free to make an account. With Studio Liverpool gone, we need to bring attention to Slipstream GX.
Feel free to join the company, we could use the extra muscle.
More TAG: Thinking with Paint stuff coming in the near future. Keep on the lookout!
Sorry for the crap quality, but this was just a mock-up
More TAG: Thinking with Paint stuff coming in the near future.
So, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Complete, Faction Warfare, and Particle Paradise might make it in?
Is this still on Source?
Also, please tell me you aren't using Nurbs to build the models.
The Zurg music reminds me of EVE.
What would be awesome is if there was a mode where you had infinite resources and you controlled every unit on the map, even ones on opposing sides, that way you could get them to fight eachother. Basically, a Sandbox mode.
No, going underground is too overdone. Genetic Science likes being effecient, so they decided to save on Real Estate and make their building bigger on the inside.
Non-Euclidean geometry really has its benefits.
So SCaDOS has organic parts? That would eplain why they have to consume fluids.
Please don't make the same mistake as Valve when it comes to models. Don't know what I'm talking about? Let me some it up in two words:
Are you sure he isn't just looking down?
It won't be truely scary until you add a Slenderman.
God, I hated Chamber 16 Advanced.
In otherwords, I am going to need more cubes, or better yet a laser :P (laser optional).
Wait a minute, is the whole ceiling caving in slightly?
Good job, guys. But the door needs less burn and scratch marks.
The cube survives. Why? Because all Aperture Science Equipment can withstand temperatures of up to 4000 Degrees Kelvin, which if I remember correectly, is the temperature of the sun or something like that. The reason the Personality Cores blew up when you tossed them in the incinerator at the end is because they got grinded or smashed or something like that (you can see what I'm talking about if you play through the beginning of Portal 2, you barely avoid getting smasshed by two plates when GLaDOS throws you down there to retrieve the Dual Portal Device.
"The Box! I'll take the box!"
'She picked the box! Let's see what's in the box!'
'Nothing! Absolutely nothing! STUPIIIIIIID!'
