I uploaded one of my friend's songs, maybe you would like to use it as the Menu Music for the mod.
To be honest, it looked a lot better in my head. Same thing with my Ti-Khana Concept art and my Afterburner Mock-Up icon.

Nurb-based modelling software creates a ****-ton of unnecessary polygons. That contributes to poor performance and high memory consumption.
Just take a look at Nurb-based Software such as Rhino or SketchUp versus Non-Nurb software such as Blender or 3DS Max. There is a reason most modellers prefer the latter.
If there is one thing Nurbs are meant for, it is Studio-Quality Renders, but not Game Development.
Did anyone else hear about Studio Liverpool getting closed down?
A shame. WipEout 2048 was still half-finished.
Just because they released it doesn't mean they actually finished it, there were still a lot of things to fix and add.

You should make the corners banked slightly, and add inclines going inwards on the edges of the platforms. That might make it slightly easier to navigate it (right now, it looks kind of difficult).
Also, if you are noticing any noticable performance drop, then you should edit some of the models and start getting rid of all of those unnecessary polygons (Valve needs to stop using Nurbs).
Finally, are the gels going to make it in? If so, you should find a way to get them to work the way they do with the player.
You should make the Gravity Gun count as a Dynamic Light Source. It might not make it into the mod, but you may as well do it.
