I do modding, I do gaming, I do PC building, I work in retail, wahoo.
Unfortunate that Disney's canon may write out "Thrawn's Revenge" from Star Wars. Still curious to see how it pans out.
The ships are unique-looking though, and the time period seems almost more interesting than the old trilogy's setting, way bigger scale, and threat of "bad things" coming from beyond the rim.
If you must vote for something, vote for the fact we are still alive after all this time!
...and yes I am still alive too, but due to personal reasons, can't really directly participate. I can sure as heck vote though, and so can you!
Long wait on reply. I will have to see about posting something on my profile to explain my situation, and why I haven't been around much this past year. It's clear no matter how much I wanted to quietly sit in the background and support things, I can't do that without being involved in drama, so I may as well just be more overt. Long story short though: My father passed away, my family hit financial troubles, I am working 40 hours a week overnights to help support them, I haven't much time to use on the mod anymore, sadly. We'll have to see whether there's still room for me to contribute or not.
Yeah, sadly the new DLC broke the mod, most specifically, the portion that defines what stellar bodies are used in the game, since new stellar bodies were added with the DLC.
Nice shape, very impressive. Keeps with the Cerberus aesthetic quite well.
Ah, hooray, we finally have the missing puzzle in the UNSC fighter roster.
I'm number 0. >_> Don't like Facebook, Myspace or other social media, I'll just follow you on here, you show enough neat stuff here, anyway.
And if only they would just pack nuclear warheads into MAC rounds, the Covenant would be way less of a threat.
Interested in playing the mod, but it has issues launching...upon launching it seems to crash on load and say it's missing "horde_min" in a factions.txt file.
I have the Gold version from Steam of RTW.
Dude, it's a free mod. Feel lucky you even got a release, enjoy what you have or play something else, inform them of -real- bugs if you want to be helpful, and inform them in a helpful manner, otherwise, you have the option to again, play something else, or wait patiently. I want period naval units, but you don't see me spamming paragraphs about it.
If you can't give them support and be helpful, then just don't speak at all.
5.1.1 seemed to help quite a bit more, kinda bummed that there's no period naval units yet, kinda pointless to play as Great Britain, while I can't speak for other folks, I had no real issues personally, patched just fine, played just fine. Only suggestion I might make is that the various nations need to start out with a bit of an army and infrastructure, or the campaign needs to start earlier, and last longer, and allow you to enter "world at war" mode or something once your turns for preparation are complete.
Patch is great, but upon trying to select the Ottomon Empire on the campaign, the game crashes to desktop.
No, I'm helping test the Stardrive betas, don't wanna bother with an image hosting service, so I'm just posting error reports up here.
I likes basic. Also, I was going to work on the mod and port it over into StarDrive, but unfortunately Zero didn't really go for it, so I ended up with only a few things ported and just gave up on it. This can probably go away, but oh well, it'll stay. =D
Great trailer....bad music. That's pretty much every single Call of Duty trailer...looks great, but then "wub wub wub wub", an orchestral piece would've raised the drama factor and epicness to new heights. >_>
Instead I have to watch with my sound off.
There's no simple demo because it'll be done when it's done, and when it's fun to play. That's their intention. It is worth waiting for, trust in that, it was the original reason I bothered keeping up with Sins and its expansions, as the original game didn't interest me so much.
Visit other space RTS games while you wait, like StarDrive or Endless Space, don't put all your eggs in one basket! =)
It's ah...a Drake from EVE Online. A battlecruiser.
Geez louise that's tall.
I guess there are worse appearances you could go with. My personal preference has always been "flatter is better" in regards to carriers. Still, it is nice to have one finally.
So, the game updated and we have sounds and some nice new FX and blocks...but all my metal doors turned into some kind of sludge? I'm guessing there was an item update, but I can't remove the doors using the pick-axe or any other tools I possess.
Can still remove them with the X key though it seems, so if anyone else had that issue...there you go.
Thank you. I hope whoever is down-voting me enjoys it greatly. There is literally no information anywhere telling you what button to use, or how to use power systems, or even how to open a door. Better the devs know from someone who just bought the game than find out down the line. If I was lost, how many other people would be lost as well?
Thanks for the answer either way. It's always nice when people directly involved with their game are around to help with even little problems.
Yeah, that it does, but it doesn't tell me how to open this vaunted "power mode" to link a generator with other objects. =/ Why can't anyone tell me the button for that? I've got an entire section of game-play shut off to me because I can't find a way to use these generators.
Beta 4969, Build 1
Hate to double-reply, but that'd be what Desura tells me the version is.
I just bought it yesterday, and got it from Desura, downloaded, and played, should I have gotten it from somewhere else?
Well, I could, but it's just easier to explain it as things just 'poof' out of existence. No FX or anything, just 'poof'. Same with the character, while trying to figure out if there was fall damage, I just touched the ground and reappeared instantly outside the cryopod. Apparently there is fall damage.
I appreciate there's more that may be missing, but for a beta, this seems barren.
Well, how about telling me what the power and generator button is in the current build on Desura, for starters? >_>
Or if it even works at all in the current build. There's a lot of documentation, but it looks like it's all on an earlier build, and half the buttons don't work like that anymore.
I'm liking the art style and concepts Edge of Space, but...it took me half an hour to find out how to open a door, and even longer before I gave up on trying to get a power generator to work. And crabs and jellyfish are kinda...the only things that could be ready in a beta? No weapon sound effects, no monster sound FX, no death animations...?
I don't want to sound entitled or anything, this just feels like a heavily undocumented alpha...rather than beta, and I see good things in this game's future, I just really hope you guys take it slow...
Considering that my talks with Lord_Set have revealed Turians don't know squat about how to properly use strikecraft, methinks you will eat them words! >=D
My vote is for 2, most things in Mass Effect tend to go for symmetry, and Cerberus is no exception for the most part, that and symmetry is more pleasing to the eyes!
Some people may have seen the space strategy game called StarDrive release recently on Steam. I preordered it some time ago, and have been modding it for awhile...recently modding has reached a point where it's a very real possibility models and textures from our current mod could transfer over into StarDrive.
If you do not own StarDrive, I highly recommend taking a look at it, it's well worth it!
still...I don't think I ever remembered that guy from the game, and rightly so, mohawks in a pre WW2 setting is kinda...
Well, it's a mohawk, there are few places where it looks right!
