It's not the best in the world, but it's free, and stand-alone, and suits my needs. I'm not much of a scripter or programmer.

Why would you make a survival zombie mod for L4D!???!

Thank you! I appreciate the comments. I've been working on this project on and off for about 4 years now, and ONLY now have I really felt confident in my abilities enough to produce a decent FPS. :)

Hello. The dim3 game engine is currently only available for development on the Mac platform. There is only one programmer working on it, so while it is upgraded really fast, a major thing like porting the tools to Windows would be too time consuming. Deployment is on both platforms though, and Linux too I believe.

The dim3 game engine works quite well for FPS games, but in my opinion, it is extremely good for beginners, and for any kind of platformer or side scroller.

I forgot to mention that a lot of the original Marathon map textures you see in the screenshots, were done by Jay Faircloth. He's a fantastic texture artist, and helped me a lot by letting me use his textures.

512x512 to be exact. However, if you play the original Marathon series, you'll see that all the weapons and characters basically used flat colors everywhere, and I am trying to imitate that same look.

I can do much better: Coldfusiongames.com

However, for the game style, I choose to go with less detailed, and more colorful, performance friendly textures.

Thank you Brad! I appreciate the kind words. Pvt. Johnson is partially correct, in that I this is mostly a one map operation, but I do have a good handful of people doing scripting, sounds and music.

While I can create all the visuals without *too* much trouble, I am handicapped when it comes to sound, music or script creation.

Sorry to hear about the hacking incident. There's some crazy people out there these days. I'm glad you have a new forum working though, good luck with your project.

Lots of great HL2 mods coming out these days. I look forward to a release of this game. Good luck.

Very nice work! I like the idea of Halo in Quake, though I must warn you, Bungie may not allow such a mod to be created. I once started making a Halo mod/game, and I contacted Bungie about it, and they said they had in fact taken action against some mod makers. Just be warned.

I love the idea, but I have to echo the other people here, in that it's not legal or proper to be using SC2 concepts for your game. Make your own.

I saw a video of this game on YouTube, great improvements since I last watched it.

Keep up the good work.

I just finished playing Half Life myself. That first part with the electrical beams and big explosion are really cool. Good job on replicating it.

Wow, this is such a cool looking mod. I'll be buying Half Life 2 for my new computer soon, and I'll get your mod when it's released.

Do these mods work OK with Half Life 2 from Steam?

It only looks like Halo if you played Halo first. Marathon Infested looks 100% like Marathon, HALO looks like Marathon, not the other way around.
