Check it out! lots of indie and oldschool games of many genres come together for an indie bundle sale!

Games included:

Black Market - Space sim SORTA similar to freelancer. sort of.

Cardinal Quest - Rougelike with oldschool 8 bit styled graphics.

The Devils Whiskey - RPG homage to a bards tale (Absolutely LOVE this one! Played it YEARS AGO)

Kenshi (In alpha) - It's sort of like a mix of mount and blades overview map, and jagged alliance/brigade E5/6.

Steel Storm: Burning Retribution - Top down sci-fi shooter with comic cell shaded graphics.

Wanderlust: Rebirth - 4 player coop action RPG with 16-bit graphics. Nuff said.

Currently $6 USD minimum, but make sure to throw in a bit extra for the hard working devs! ;D

Happy Gaming!

What I think could be an interesting group to spawn here on moddb would be a "Model a day" group. Get some of the aspiring modelers together, pick a random object, and make a model in a week, with no quality standards, and nothing stopping anyone from trying to make it original.

I could see it helping people see various ways of approaching the same idea, and getting critique on their models and methods for modeling. Help people get rid of those nasty bad habits, and work on efficiency and base design before anything else.

I wonder how many people would be interested in such a group...

The slow loading times, the window drag lag, the fade effect that just makes my windows blink, the higher ram usage, having to FIND what used to be obvious (like servers, which I've only found right clicking the icon bottom right), etc

And it's a forced update, so I can't revert or even use it the way it was, and instead have to go with this unfinished bugfest that even fails in compatibility with xfire (You can do a double overlay, which makes both nonfunctional).

SO few advancements for so many setbacks, I don't think it was a good idea at all.

From some of the original makers of Titans quest comes Grim Dawn!
A spiritual sequel to Titans Quest with an enhanced engine and redone systems to give you a whole new experience!

Show them some love! (You can buy it now for 20 bucks or more if you would like ingame bonuses or alpha/beta access!)

Follow them on twitter!

As a big fan of the TQ I can't say how excited I will be when this releases, at such a good price too! For you nubs out there it WILL go to steam, for the rest of you it will be available D2D as well!

I feel like I should have raved about this sooner.

You owe it to yourself to give this a watch.

Is it just me or is crytek 3 far worse then crytek 2?

Why couldn't they just optimize it instead of butchering the features to allow it to run on consoles? The xbox version has bad overlay on particles, flickering shadows, and bad alpha channel AA, while the PS3 version had none of those problems, yet it still looked far below what they could have had.

Although I do like all the source fanboys defending it as an engine even though none of them have ever USED the full engine. Only 2 games I can think of off the top of my head have been developed third party on source, that valve had nothing to do with and that weren't a mod beforehand. If there were more then just a few high quality sourcemods I might have more sympathy for them :P.

shut up you. they did it because they want money and they cant make any on people who just pirates their games anyways.

sure you can also do it with consoles, but PC is far more easier to pirate.

Ruining what had potential for money doesn't sound right to me. I think there is more to it then that. They easily would have had the sales for PC, if they kept the benchmark trend. PC nuts love benchmark, regardless of if they will actually PLAY the game.

Rawket Apr 16 2010 replied:

well i think that's silly. to spend all that work and time just making a game that will ultimately be used for benchmarking. if that was the case, wouldn't people just download the demo and never actually purchase the game?

graphics alone doesn't make a game. So hopefully they will spend their time honing the story and gameplay mechanics than how overly detailed they can get on a tree.

Actually post processing was what they were going for ;D

Whats the problem with benchmarking? A LOT of people think graphics makes a good game, which is why a terrible game like crysis did so well. The demo doesn't even allow the same graphic settings as the full version, and the full version receives patches to further them.

There are other benchmark games that get decent sales like Shattered Horizon, which has great graphics with simple but addictive gameplay.
