Should you decide to stay and have a look around, you'll find writing (some decent, but most pretty bad), (mostly) failed experiments, and perhaps some music. You may also happen across some fo-Star Wars stuff, much of which I keep around as a lesson to myself in how to avoid being embarrassingly over-the-top and ridiculous. It exists primarily for the currently ongoing Star Wars role-playing group (yes, there is a somewhat-thriving Star Wars RP here, believe it or not). This is a new model of heavy fighter, still in prototype stages. It will be developed as a space superiority fighter for the New Republic. These fighters are extremely powerful. They have many weapons, are very durable, and still are able to maintain a very good amount of sub-light speed. The drawback to this is that the Invictus has no hyperdrive and customizability is so limited that it is better to not even try. The ship is armed with the following:
-Unidirectional 50-terawatt beam cannons (6)
-Swiveling 50-terawatt dual beam cannon turrets (2)
-Unidirectional 65-terawatt beam cannons (6)
-Unidirectional 200-terawatt beam cannons (3)
-Unidirectional 1.5-petawatt beam cannon (1)
The majority of the Invictus's weaponry is unidirectional, but it has two swiveling heavy beam turrets. The 6 65-terawatt beam cannons are located in the rear of the ship and provide excellent aft defense. The three beam cannons are located on the stabilizers and are strong enough to punch through a corvette's undefended hull in a few shots. If the corvette has shielding, it will be able to overcome this shielding in a few volleys. The single cannon is extremely powerful, and can overcome the shields of a light frigate in ten seconds of continuous fire. However, it must recharge for 30 seconds before being used again. It uses power from all of the weaponry, and this phenomenon generates the visual effect of a Death Star superlaser. This cannon can fire for ten seconds continuously before deactivating. There are cameras located in several portions of the ship, and they provide the pilot with a full field of vision. The engines are located at several points on the fighter, with dozens of maneuvering thrusters that allow the Invictus to maintain full mobility. Shielding is heavy, but the hull is reinforced durasteel coated with a sheet of metal that hides the fighter from radar, but not from sight.
