Hi Gendrystone,

Try deleting the Rise of Mankind - A New Dawn directory from your mods folder. Then run the installer again. If you had an old version of the mod installer, it is possible you installed to the wrong place and it loaded the old version.

You need BTS 3.19, so you need to patch it.

Oh, so the AI's kicking your butt? Well, the AI in AND doesn't receive any more bonuses than they do in BTS. However, I did spend a lot of time trying to make them use cities to build up their infrastructure and economy. Seems that you were outplayed. ;)

You mean the AI are over producing units? Weaker AI's sometimes have that problem. They think they are too weak, and attempt to compensate by over producing ineffective units. Is that what you think is happening? I hoped I had curbed that behavior...

Very True (I wrote a length review on Civ5's faults here: Forums.civfanatics.com ). But Civ4 has no multicore support and is aging.

I know. =p. I own the Deluxe Edition of Civ5. AND 1.75 is the final release, and my last Civ4 mod. I'm transitioning to Civ5 mods. I haven't yet made anything, but for those who want a balanced Civ5 mod, check out this one! Forums.civfanatics.com

Thanks for helping RepublicCommando101.

Yes, You need to install everything over again for 1.74. Saves are NOT compatible.

I know the process is a bit tricky, and you are way more likely to get help by going to the CivFanatics forums I linked to, as it is very active.

I plan on making the installaton process much simpler and more streamlined for 1.75, thanks for bearing with me.

Try the unofficial patch K, which fixes loading issues on some PC's. Patch K : Sourceforge.net

No, Most Civ4 Mods are PC Only. This is because Aspyr, the company who ported Civ4 to the Mac did a sloppy job, and felt that mods were unimportant.

Patches contain all of the changes from the previous patches, so you ONLY need the latest patch, and the full download.

This happens when you install new versions over old versions. Delete your Rise of Mankind folder, download the latest version, install the latest AND, and try again.

No, I have a limited internet connection, so I can't afford to include the 400mb RoM package as well. A direct download link to the latest RoM version is here: Forums.civfanatics.com

Yes, users have reported than A New Dawn 1.72 has a CTD problem. I've reverted the changes that lead to this, and you can expect a CTD free version in a week or so. ;)

Any way for a current mod dev to get some invite love? ;)

The installer has to have the "Rise of Mankind" folder selected, any other folder will cause it to fail. I'm afraid I can not offer you any more details without more specific information. If you could, post here, where I am more likely to notice. (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=344523)

Follow the Instructions to the letter. That error message implies that you did not select the Rise of Mankind folder with the installer.

Also, please post bug reports or help requests in the CivFanatics Forum, I don't check here very often.

You can check by entering the civilopedia. Inside it should have a new section at the bottom, label "A New Dawn Concepts" If it isn't there, you need to follow the installation directions on the summary.
