Ultimately your own models would be nice, as the stalker models arent exactly godly. But if it is in any way overly time consuming to do them yourselves and would require sacrifices of time you don't think are worth it then by all means import.

The lack of roundness in the room really makes the textures blend natrually. Lovin the pop art poster above the TV. And as for the coffee table, it looks a tad matte. Could be a bit more texturized.

Commercialization? Sigh. When I read the news and the people writing this article act like it's an exciting or positive thing, I die inside. It's a great mod, and I suppose it's fair enough; after all, I'm not the one doing all the work. But I was envisioning this with a spirit that frankly didn't include commercialization. That something so high concept as this could exist for free, and whats more, by people who simply wanted to see this realized for the sake of art was heartening. Commercialization at this point is like sapping the vision. Like making a book or game into a crap movie. I see it in the same air as putting advertising on wikipedia or making youtube cost anything. I don't want to rant or imply insult but you will have to forgive me for thinking less of this then I did a few days ago. You could at least have informed us of this before you started on the remake, instead of giving alot of people, including myself, false hope.

Pardon the dramaticizing, i'm just bummed as hell about this and probably making too big a deal right now, as I often do when I get overly philosophical.

I think the atmosphere in this particular section will rely alot on the light cast from the screen.

Ya in order to balance the gameplay it looks like the snipers should have to go fixed, the RPG's should be either slightly less accurate/greater cooldown or maybe even a max killcap per shot, striders should only take rpg damage, and grenade damage/spread needs a bit of toning down. That, and resources should come slower. But its looking great so far. Oh and the hunters and vortigaunts could be a little more powerful, maybe?
