You can disable morale loss of not resting in 'camp' > 'mod options'. Note we will shortly release version 1.39 and it's not save game compatible with 1.38.

Did you download from here or at mbrepository? There have been issues with repository.
I suggest reinstalling (download from here) and making sure you have Warband v. 1.143.

The mod is still 'heavy' and requires a good PC, but several bugs are fixed and for some the mod runs better now (with 1.38)

No, it only works with Warband 1.143. Using 1.134 will cause bugs.

It's very easy to get low honour. For example leave the dead to rot after a battle.

It does take very long yes, but only when starting a new game. Loading a saved game takes seconds. Although 15 min. is a long time. It takes 2 min. for me, but depends on your PC.

Please see this thread with advice on crashes:

You only have about 2 GB RAM, so especially changing buffer size is a good idea.
But read all 5 solutions. It can make it work.

Building a lair requires some renown. Not much though, so it won't take long. Then there's an option to build a lair. It costs 20,000. You can garrison troops and prisoners, and hire some staff.

No, Motte and Bailey castles were introduced by the Normans (after year 1066). It's a promontory fort by the sea in Scotland: Dunnottar (called Duin Foither in the mod).

Brytenwalda requires more RAM and generally more GPU/CPU power than native. Please see this thread on how to optimise performance and avoid crashes:

Both Idibil and I would like to upload it here, but none of us has the option; even though we are both labelled: Brytenwalda-DevTeam. It's really annoying. I can't upload screenshots either. Maybe a PM to a moderator is in place...
