4. Stamina decreses when running and swinging your weapon. You get tired from fighting basically (as in real life). The idea is to choose your strikes and not just fight in a frenzy.
5. Never thought of that.
6. Bad weapons = realistic weapons :)
1. Yes. Fire burns, so avoid it. If many fire arrows hit the same spot a large fire can occur shortly. It's useful in sieges.
2. I think it's about 500 (a lot anyway)
3. There are a few special weapons in quests, but they are nowhere near overpowered. Just a little better than average.
We strive for realism, so there are no overly powerful weapons.
When running the installer it's important to specify the destination path. So when you get to "Select Destination Location" click browse and navigate to the Warband modules folder. If you have Steam it's under Steam/SteamApps/common/Warband/modules
Hiding during a battle? So like a coward mode for weaklings :)
If you have runtime errors/random crashes, especially in scenes/battles it's most likely a performance problem. Plesse see this thread on optimization:
No, we forgot to update the version number. So it still says 1.394 even though it's 1.395.
Something could have gone wrong during download. I suggest redownloading, or try running the installer again. There are no missing or corrupted files.
During gameplay or while loading?
Make sure you have Warband v. 1.153.
If it's during gameplay please see this thread with performance issues:
The year is 636. The Roman era is over. So there is no Roman armour.
That should not be happening. Have you installed 1.394? Anyway, you should probably delete the Brytenwalda folder completely and install anew. 'textures_face_gen.brf' is a file that should be in the resource folder, if the installation is correct.
Then you have v. 1.391. Please delete the mod completely.
To install 1.394 run the installer and when asked to select a destination path click 'browse' and go to:
program files/steam/steamApps/common/moubt&blade warband/modules.
Then download the patch 1.395 and put the files in the Brytenwalda folder. Click yes to overwriting.
Make sure you have the latest version of Warband: 1.153 !
Just follow the steps in the installer. But make sure to set the destination path to the Warband modules folder. Click browse and navigate to the warband folder (usually under 'program files > mount&blade warband > modules').
If you use Steam it's in the Steam folder under 'SteamApps > common > mount&blade warband > modules'
It's actually for Warband 1.153. Thanks for pointing it out. I will correct it once I figure out how :)
It has not yet been ported to Warband 1.153.
But this Friday afternoon it will be. So you can either wait or try it out now. We can't promise it will be savegame compatible though.
Please see this thread on crashes and performance:
Most crashes are due to performance issues.
Brytenwalda is much more demanding on hardware than native.
Odd. It could be two lords with very similar names, just slightly different... If not it's an odd bug.
No, I'm sorry. It's hard to know what could be causing it.
But just to be clear on versions: First install full version 1.391. And then patch with 1.393.
To have the latest version download and install 1.391. After that download the patch 1.393. That's it.
First you must download the full version 1.391 from the download section above.
- Run the installer until you get to "Select Destination folder". Then press the 'Browse...' button and navigate to:
- Click 'next' and Brytenwalda will be installed correctly.
If you wish to install the patch 1.393 (highly recommended) then download it and extract the content to the Brytenwalda folder and click yes to overwriting.
If you can't extract it then get '7zip'. It's a little, free, open source extraction program. Google it.
You mean taking features from Floris? I didn't answer because it's not my decision. Brytenwalda is already a huge mod (pushing the limits of the Warband engine), so new features must be chosen VERY carefully, so as to not make Brytenwalda unstable.
Brytenwalda is much more demanding on both CPU power and RAM than native. These crashes/freezes are typically a performance issue.
Please see this link on optimizing performance:
Turn down texture detail, battles size and other such things to increase performance.
It's a conflict with the WSE (Warband Script Enhancer). Try turning it off, and it should work.
During installation you'll be asked for 'destination path'. Press 'browse' and navigate to the Warband/modules folder. If you use Steam it's in the Steam folder (steamapps).
The official server is now up and running called: bryt_official_battle.
That looks very strange. Haven't seen any of that in my game.
Heads up: a patch has been released, 1.393.
Mostly bug fixes and minor tweaks. No new features or content.
The multiplayer server should be up and running again soon - hopefully.
You might have too little RAM to play Brytenwalda. But you can check these fixes:
It's actually mainly single player. A HUGE single player :)
The multiplayer was added recently with new features and such. The official server is Bryt_official_Battle.
Yes, it's for Warband 1.143 only.
