Simply find animals on the overland map (same icon as cows), and engage them. Both deer and boar.
I'm not replying because I can't help. I don't know the error "Unrecognised resource type". Make sure you have Warband 1.153 and Brytenwalda 1.4.
What does the error say?
Make sure you're using Warband v. 1.153 and Brytenwalda v. 1.4.
Freelancer is still in the mod. BUT now you need at least 5 relation points with the faction. So do a few quests for a lord or similar and the option will be there.
Most likely it's lack of RAM/CPU power. Please see this thread on optimizing the game:
I don't think that's related to Brytenwalda, because I've never seen that problem reported and never had it myself. Are you exporting and importing characters between different versions?
I don't even have a clue as to what it could be...
Actually they've been beta testing version 1.155 for quite some time now, and we expect to update to that version when it gets released. No word on that though.
Most likely it's installed in the wrong place/folder. While running the installer it's important to choose the destination path. It should be in the Warband/modules folder. I suggest making a search on your PC to find the Brytenwalda folder and simply dragging it into the Warband modules folder. Then launch the game and it should turn up.
No, just the one.
There's another cave up north in (modern) Scotland, but that's about it. Remenber to visit a town port for an extra quest.
I have had no problems with the downloads here at moddb.
You can also try to download v. 1,40 from novaregula: Novaregula.com
Make sure you have Warband version 1.153, or it will not work.
Late reply: Best to delete it completely and download the new version with a fresh install.
The list of features is exhaustingly long. Pretty much nothing of the original game is unchanged.
Suffice to say it's a historical mod trying to recreate the British isles in year 636.
(The video is old now and the amount of new scenes has more than doubled - tripled, quadrupled?)
It means you need the latest version of Warband: 1.153 !
Brytenwalda doesn't work on older version.
The installer can take up to 1-2 minutes to start. Try waiting a while. No others have had problems with nothing happening - apart from waiting (and once it's installed it's like playing any other mod).
Brytenwalda is much 'heavier' than native, so expect lower performance, and the need to lower battle size and perhaps some graphic settings (lowering 'texture detail' in particular helps).
Sounds very strange. You'll have to delete it and install again.
Im' not that familiar with Desura. Thought files from here automatically became avaiable at Desura. But you can download from here or at novaregula: Novaregula.com
When installing make sure the destination folder is correct. Click 'browse' and find the Warband/modules folder.
If you use Steam it will be under: Steam/SteamApps/common/Mount&Blade warband/modules
No, Brytenwalda 1.40 is the full version. Nothing is needed to install it.
This new version contains a new installer and new files, so a patch is difficult without causing problems during installation.
That should be fixed with 1.4. No complaints so far.
I have asked around, but no others have this problem. Make sure you don't order the use of blunt weapons, but that's obvious.
Brytenwalda v. 1.40 is the full mod for Warband 1.153. There are no patches
Go to: Camp > take an action > toggle cheat menu on.
And remember many features in this mod can be turned off if you don't like them: under camp > mod options.
This is the only download avaiable. Unpacked the mod itself, Brytenwalda, is close to 2 GB.
I can't replicate that bug. What are the names of the heroes/companions and what weapons do they not use?
There's no patch, only full download, and it's big. About 800 mb. So that could be the reason for "not enough disc space".
This version includes a player's manual, the Brytenwalda The Wargame, Graphical pack (Polished Landscsapes mod and Calradia In Darkness mod), and the Novella (a short story about the battle at Heathfelth).
Note Freelancer feature (enlist in a lord's army) is still there but you need 5 relation points with the faction.
