No, just the one.
There's another cave up north in (modern) Scotland, but that's about it. Remenber to visit a town port for an extra quest.
I have had no problems with the downloads here at moddb.
You can also try to download v. 1,40 from novaregula: Novaregula.com
Make sure you have Warband version 1.153, or it will not work.
Late reply: Best to delete it completely and download the new version with a fresh install.
The list of features is exhaustingly long. Pretty much nothing of the original game is unchanged.
Suffice to say it's a historical mod trying to recreate the British isles in year 636.
(The video is old now and the amount of new scenes has more than doubled - tripled, quadrupled?)
It means you need the latest version of Warband: 1.153 !
Brytenwalda doesn't work on older version.
The installer can take up to 1-2 minutes to start. Try waiting a while. No others have had problems with nothing happening - apart from waiting (and once it's installed it's like playing any other mod).
Yes, lords can be killed when you have very negative relations with them. But honour will drop and you will get many enemies. So don't kill lords until you have a strong army.
Brytenwalda is much 'heavier' than native, so expect lower performance, and the need to lower battle size and perhaps some graphic settings (lowering 'texture detail' in particular helps).
Sounds very strange. You'll have to delete it and install again.
Im' not that familiar with Desura. Thought files from here automatically became avaiable at Desura. But you can download from here or at novaregula: Novaregula.com
When installing make sure the destination folder is correct. Click 'browse' and find the Warband/modules folder.
If you use Steam it will be under: Steam/SteamApps/common/Mount&Blade warband/modules
No, Brytenwalda 1.40 is the full version. Nothing is needed to install it.
This new version contains a new installer and new files, so a patch is difficult without causing problems during installation.
That should be fixed with 1.4. No complaints so far.
I have asked around, but no others have this problem. Make sure you don't order the use of blunt weapons, but that's obvious.
Brytenwalda v. 1.40 is the full mod for Warband 1.153. There are no patches
Go to: Camp > take an action > toggle cheat menu on.
And remember many features in this mod can be turned off if you don't like them: under camp > mod options.
This is the only download avaiable. Unpacked the mod itself, Brytenwalda, is close to 2 GB.
I can't replicate that bug. What are the names of the heroes/companions and what weapons do they not use?
There's no patch, only full download, and it's big. About 800 mb. So that could be the reason for "not enough disc space".
This version includes a player's manual, the Brytenwalda The Wargame, Graphical pack (Polished Landscsapes mod and Calradia In Darkness mod), and the Novella (a short story about the battle at Heathfelth).
Note Freelancer feature (enlist in a lord's army) is still there but you need 5 relation points with the faction.
The troop tree is only in the game (mod options).
The crashing is likely due to insufficient memory.
You're welcome to describe your problems in this thread and we will try to help you:
In the meantime you can try lowering graphics settings/battle size. See this also:
Making scenes is quite easy to get into. The game has a built in scene editor. Read about it here:
Scripting/programming is made easy with a module system. Get it here:
It uses Python. Here's a short introduction:
All in all there's a big modding community at Taleworlds. Welcome:
The AI in tournaments has not been changed. We have no plans to change it, or add the ability to choose weapon. A good advice is to order teammates to stand close and follow you; only in the last round(s) are you alone.
To change weapon speed you can use Morgh's editor:
The Britons are not in blue paint because there's no evidence of that. When Ceasar came to Britannia he desibed war paint, but many years have passed, and in 636 the Britons are Christians. In fact most of the British Isles at this point has been Christianized.
Have you played the native game? It's the same thing there. Shields are meant to 'absorb' arrows, so hitting troops with shields is very difficult. Archery in Brytenwalda is meant to be difficult. Back then precision shots were not used. Many archers would shoot in the general direction of the enemy, and with enough arrows some would hit. You can also try the crossbow (only found in Pictish merchants), it's a little easier to handle.
Just above the comments here you'll see 'Latest downloads'. I suggest getting the latest version 1.396.
Stamina (the blue bar under health) can be disabled under mod options, along with many other settings.
