There was no horse archery in 7th. century Britain.
Horses were used for skirmish and javelins were thrown from horseback.
Yes, sorry. We haven't bothered working on the custom battle feature. Very few use it. So it just happens to be a sea battle every time. We have only focused on single and multiplayer.
Let me try in French: C'est important que vous avez le version Warband correct. Ca veut dire 1.157 ou 1.158 si vous jouer Brytenwalda version 1.41.
Si vouz avez Brytenwalda 1.4 vouz avez besoins Warband 1.153
In English: You must make sure you have the right version of Warband. If you play Brytenwalda 1.41 you need Warband 1.157/1.158.
If you're playing the older 1.4 then you need Warband 1.153.
No. If you remember the name of the scene it can be fixed. If it's on a randomly generated battlefield it's probably a minor glitch.
When a companion follows you everywhere it means he/she is your bodyguard. It can be helpful if attacked by thieves in towns. It's not a bug, and happens when you have enough renown. Don't know about lords standing still...
Make sure you have Warband v 1.157 or 1.158 and Brytenwalda 1.41.
Or if you still use Brytenwalda 1.4 you need Warband v. 1.153.
If the problem continues you should try reinstalling.
Not quite sure what that is exactly, but if could well be lag. The overland map is large with 30+ factions. A huge amount of calculatons take place, and speeding up time creates lag. Best advice is to turn down graphics, which could help a little (even though the settings work well in native) - and never use the cheat 'truesight' (ctrl + T).
Thank you (although I only made the scenes and some sounds).
If you visit Taleworlds forum you can find mnany modders, and also many tutorials on modding.
Brytenwalda 1.41 Patch makes it compatible with Warband 1.157. It was the main reason for a patch.
Make sure you have Warband v. 1.157 to play Brytenwalda 1.41. Or if you're still playing Brytenwalda 1.4 make sure Warband is v. 1.153.
I don't know much about battles in woods. Would it not also be of disadvantage to archers that he enemy has plenty of cover behind trees - as opposed to an open area?
You first need very low relations with the other lord (close to minus 100). But be very aware this is something you do when you are powerful - because close to everyone will turn against you.
Okay. Change log:
Ported to Warband 1.157
-Russian language by Hunterwolf
-Fixed level upgrade and training issue.
-Fixed Stamina System - Now more realistic and playable.
-Fixed incompatibility between wagon and gift caravan.
-Added Texture fixes by Vidamir.
-Other minor bugfixes.
-Improve Graphic Pack:
.Rocks flying over the ground FIXED
.Add border scene with Brytenwalda graphic pack
OLD 1.40 SAVEGAME Compatible.
Yes, we're sorry about that. No sexism intended. It can just be difficult getting the female/male option in dialogue right.
Most likely you need to change the language to English: Launch Warband. Go to configuration and choose language: English.
Yes, but you need a little reputation with the faction/lord first (about 5 points I think). So do a few quests first.
(Sorry, late reply because of holiday).
It's a very graphic heavy mod and runs much slower than native. If you experience stuttering/low FPS, I suggest turning down battle size and graphic settings. If problems persist see this page with good advice:
We estimate an army size of about 200-500 troops, but larger battles would see many more - as is the case when many lords clash. Brytenwalda is for those who thing native is too easy. Build up an army slowly. Focus on alliances using diplomacy and expand slowly. You will eventually be able to lead many hundred troops.
No, version 1.4 of Brytenwalda only works with Warband version 1.153.
I just don't know how to update the mod description saying 1.132 :)
Yes it will. Remember when installing to set the installation path to: Steam/ SteamApps/ common/ mount&bladewarband/ modules/brytenwalda
Brytenwalda 1.4 already works with Warband 1.154. (and 1.153)
Simply find animals on the overland map (same icon as cows), and engage them. Both deer and boar.
I'm not replying because I can't help. I don't know the error "Unrecognised resource type". Make sure you have Warband 1.153 and Brytenwalda 1.4.
What does the error say?
Make sure you're using Warband v. 1.153 and Brytenwalda v. 1.4.
Freelancer is still in the mod. BUT now you need at least 5 relation points with the faction. So do a few quests for a lord or similar and the option will be there.
Most likely it's lack of RAM/CPU power. Please see this thread on optimizing the game:
I don't think that's related to Brytenwalda, because I've never seen that problem reported and never had it myself. Are you exporting and importing characters between different versions?
I don't even have a clue as to what it could be...
Actually they've been beta testing version 1.155 for quite some time now, and we expect to update to that version when it gets released. No word on that though.
Most likely it's installed in the wrong place/folder. While running the installer it's important to choose the destination path. It should be in the Warband/modules folder. I suggest making a search on your PC to find the Brytenwalda folder and simply dragging it into the Warband modules folder. Then launch the game and it should turn up.
