I can imagine the massive city maps people would make... Tautayav 2.0! Now with rooftop parkour.
Boasting no level loadings? I'm worried about performance hits. Also how would you lose the cops? And how many NPCs can we actually render while still mantaining 60+ fps? I like to get about 120fps because I like to record and do slowmotion stuff.
Also there were these great maps for postal 2 that were really dense and laggy. There was Vigilante, GTA, and Tautayav. I can't wait to see some massive city maps filled with interiors to explore and lush rooftops you can also explore. Jumping from rooftop to rooftop, kicking ***, and all that. Maybe finally we can have fire in postal 2 that DOESN'T slow your computer to a crawl. It's these single core engines maaaan. Doesn't work well on my multicore. Oh the woes of modern-day gaming rigs... New drivers breaking old games like Return to Castle Wolfenstein...
What is a Gey? :P
Oh my god that looks cool.
I think bethesda should get a starwars license from disney and make one of their famous BethesdaRPGs, however I'm worried that if they wanted to integrate space travel, the world maps for each planet has to be real small :C
Maybe there could be 4 huge planets in the vanilla game and they could make DLC expansions that add 2 planets per package?
They shouldn't of used mod examples, DayZ is a good example of a bad example. (Lol)
I mean DayZ is pretty open world, it's a non-linear emergent survival roguelike MMO FPS and TPS with zombies and people armed with only their underwear and their beans. They should of pointed you towards a random wikipedia or thesaurus result page to explain the subgenres...
This mod is downright phenomenal, the music really fits, I literally forgot that I was playing a mod, however I really wish there would be some improvements on paying into the treasury, I don't wanna get RSI. Make it like the recruitment system where you type in a number then click away... Also I believe you should be able to purchase gear for your army like how you send out a recruiter.
I kinda prefer an open world, remember The Nameless Mod for Deus Ex? That was cool
Don't forget the raging 40 year olds that bully kids for no real reason at all.
I wonder what everything would look like with a reflective surface.
Honestly Daggerfall: Source would be great, randomly generated RPG adventures! Maybe take the source code for the NPC Director from L4D and use it for world generation.
Reminds me of that 2d john woo-ish shooter with parkour, I forgot what it is called... It had bumpmapping effects I believe.
From the screenies I thought "Grave encounters".
You should port it to CryEngine 3. Optimizatiooooooon :O
I'm not sure about making this a L4D2 campaign, the action would ruin the atmosphere. But as a demonstration, alright. Maybe a Half Life 2 horror mod? Who knows.
Man this crashes ALOT
OMGWTF THE GAME WAS GORY ENOUGH!
I still love it though, maybe a mod to make decals stay, and a dualcore mod?
Also with your Unreal Engine 1 experience, can you also make a gore mod for postal 2? It's on Unreal Engine 2.
Can we expect working AI?
And can you make a shopping mall map with indoor areas and AI-nodes in the indoor areas?
I wanna drive a tank into a mall, who else agrees?
Do you happen to be a massive *******?
Reminds me of my days playing Starwars Battlefront 2 on Felucia, good times. :D
I'm definitely looking forward to this, survival games are entertaining experiences in my opinion :D
Post-process lightrays would really add upon the tension-building atmosphere! AND why not Deep Sea Monsters??
Kraken, EXTREMELY OVERSIZED megaladon, a serpent, and predator x..
Man that'd be sweet! And a level editor so you can make your own scary levels!
IDEA: Over-exaggeratedly sized megaladon!
I WISH they would make a next-gen sequel, with the technology we have now it could earn "Scariest game award". 'Cause of the suspense and terror, and maybe not only sharks but sea monsters! Like the Kraken, and a giant serpent, predator X, and a mutated megaladon that's x10 Times as big as the normal megaladon!
As I was saying with the technology... Who thinks post-process light-rays would fit nicely? I sure do, it'll add to the tension-building atmosphere and when that giant shark comes out of nowhere you'll **** bricks!
And after you die there'll be a slowmo replay, but the camera is inside the monsters mouth! And you see yourself being eaten!
I thought it was alright, just get someone else to make it. As someone else pointed out they're lazy and ego-centric.
We NEED more games where you can drive a tank into a dropship and insert that tank in someones base, that's just awesome! Maybe even allow you to commandeer a huge freighter and fill it with a bunch of mechs, everyone enters a mech, and when the freighter lands they all move out in groups!
And you can fill the freighter with dropships and fill the dropships with tanks xD
So you can make the freighter hover within the atmosphere, and everyone gears up the dropships, flies out, and swoops down really low to the ground and while they're so close they open the back door and drive the tank out! Then the dropships fly BACK to the freighter to get more tanks :D
Also customization! I wanna build a bunker, place a turret, place in a mini fridge filled with chocolate milk and soda, and a cupboard filled with chips and little debbie treats :D Then plop in a couch and a tv xD
So the turret does all the work x3
THEN someone drops a tank on my bunker and I bail xD
Is this for 1.13?
AWESOME! I'M QUITE AMAZED NO ONE ELSE WOULD REMAKE RESIDENT EVIL 1 AS A MOD!
Unless someone also re-made ResEvil 1 in an fps perspective..
I miss Troika :(
Guards feel a bit overpowered, thiefs easily die by those crossbows. And guards are so difficult to kill.
YOU SHOULD MAKE A SPAGETTI SAUCE SPEWER, IT'LL GO NICELY WITH DECAL STAY!
