For anyone who doesn't know me or hasn't seen me in years u might want to check out my Bio b4 leavin messages... Just a suggestion.

My life has been full of struggles. I'm a little to forward but that comes with the territory when you've led as strange a life as I have... Just to give u an idea why I am such a strange person here's a short list of events that have made me into the forgetful yet insightful man that I am today.
4,2,1984 I was born and diagnosed with a rare condition, Treachers Collins syndrome also known as Mandibulofacial Dysostosis(a dysostosis of the face and lower jaw inherited as an autosomal dominant trait and characterized by bilateral malformations, deformities of the outer and middle ear and a usu. smaller lower jaw>Mirriam Websters Medical Dictionary, Copyright 2006). In addition to this wonderful condition I was saddled with hyperactive bone growth and T.M.J.( Long list, right?... Wait, it'll get longer)
In 1987 my mother and I headed out to Ca. where the best Dr.s for my medical condition were and still are. I attended a school for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing called Laffeyette elementary for preschool. The teachers there however thought that I would function better in a hearing environment so I was mainstreamed to Hamilton elementary.
There I was teased quite a bit but made alot of friends and made some profound progress when in the second grade I was moved to GATE classes(the elementary equivalent of AP classes).
However @ 6 years of age because of my hyperactive bone growth I had to begin what would become a long series of reconstructive maxillofacial surgeries. Just so u know all in all I hv had 19 reconstructive surgeries since then.
So I had to go thru surgery after surgery and be teased and harrassed by bullies and fellow students throughout elementary and middle school. In high school Life actually seemed to be getting better I had a few girlfriends nothing really serious just female acquaintances who weren't turned off by my appearance. Even one a few who actually went places with me, my social circle was getting larger. I'd even been excepted to the student ambassadorship program twice, though I could never afford to go. Life actually seemed to be goin my way...
Then the unthinkable happened... during a trip to Florida in the Winter of 1998 I drowned. I was saved by a Cuban waiter who was still awaiting his citizenship. Bless him but I'll probably never know his name, unfortunately. As a result result of being under the water for nearly 5 minutes I had suffered anoxia( lack of oxygen to the brain).
As a result of this brain injury I not only had and still have a terrible short term memory, had to relearn years of school education but learned to live with the fact that all my friends except a few had moved on without me by the time I was back in High school. I had to watch my friends succeed when I had to relearn everything. It wasn't easy cuz till then I had been kind of an overacheiver.
I also, as if I didn't already hv enough wrong with me, came down with ulcerative colitis thats been fun. Got so bad that in my first year of college I had to have surgery to... uh... remove my colon... not easy to admit.
Lost contact with alot of people as a result of my brain injury, but really thats why I'm here, on Facebook.
To rekindle my older friendships and find new ones. Cuz right now I'm a very lonely guy and really jus need to get out and do stuff, meet people and socialiize... This is a social network, right?
