without the release of an SDK i highly doubt anyone could create any new maps, might be worth starting a petition up to force SEGA and Gearbox to release the SDK, pretty sure GB games would happily release it, but cant due to legal issues in doing so, so would heavily depend on SEGA giving the all clear for it to go ahead...

thank you for making this just checked back in the hopes it was released, as not been getting notifications for a while now.... and now redownloading/installing ACM as a result :) oh boy am i looking forward to whooping some Xeno butt :P

yeah i like that one but the Escape mode i always felt like it would have been best suited to a Bug Hunt against AI rather than a 4v4 style cos 4 xeno's is only good against incompetent or unfamiliar players, the moment you go up against a team who knows what they are doing even killing 1 of them you still have a very effective force... I used to test for the Just Another Bughunt project way back when that was in the works and the guy who was modding had made a few additions in Bug Hunt whereby he changed what came at you in the waves, he had some waves where the PMC's would attack these were pretty much a means of mixing up the waves, they weren't in there as much though. then he would have if i recall correctly double the amount of Xeno soldiers and reduced Lurkers due to the glitch that was the bane of ACM for some time. then he added a wave of boilers, some waves as you progressed were mixed where once you killed the lesser xeno's a mini wave of boilers would come in until the wave was over. and every so many waves he had created a boss wave at the end of if i recall correctly, the 5th wave and that would be a more agile version of the Xeno you run from just before the sewers and after. then another variant of which that spat acid and a charger which was a bit smaller and faster than the normal charger...
this also added a kind of objective to the game too though think that Escape objectives would and the maps would greatly do that mode justice... but if he can mod more maps and other things into bug hunt that would most likely kickstart the game's appeal even more

also if he ever needs any testers for that feel free to let me know :) always up for helping out as ACM had so much potential even back when released and now, now it looks like it's finally getting the care it deserves :)

yeah there was a mod a while ago where it would send the boilers between and sometimes during waves of normal xeno's
nothing more buttclenching than fighting off against of xeno's and the sound of gunfire draws a wave of kamakazi exploding monstrocities towards you... I actually got caught off guard a few times some resulting in the loss of my sentry and entire team

such a pity though that the Escape mp mode wasn't bug hunt with the xeno's as i would have said the idea of that game move screams for more xeno's and players tbf group of 8-10 players against waves while doing tasks to reach the extraction point or the addition of bots in the MP modes in general....

though the mode like extraction, think it was extinction (though dont quote me on it as i've not played that one in ages) would have benefitted from more Xeno AI and a customisable timer/point limit

got back into ACM recently and i must admit i really do not see the point in the spitters, personally if i had a choice i would make sure they were replaced with the sewer aliens which would solve the whole spitter camping issue i been coming across alot

either way excellent mod, and cant wait for next instalment :)

just had a quick try of your mod and have to say im liking it...
if you had,
Agatsuma's survival v2 and weapon features like clip size/damage etc... this would have sealed the deal for the weapons etc...

bosses etc, I left u a link on teh previous page linking to gearbox forums to a thread on Project JAB, Reckingball is our mod creator... and created an extremely interesting and challenging work in progress where by it actually improves the AI of both the WY and Xeno's so they actually go for each other not just the player...
also upped the Xeno count to over 100

at one point he had the Xeno's at 300 so if you, Agatsuma and Reckingball can merge ideas and works the force of unstoppable Xeno hell I can foresee would be awesome

just grabbed a mod that adds the boilers to replace the mercs, and thought the spitters get stuck far too much, that they often become far too annoying wonder if there could be anyway of removing them and increasing the amount of drones/lurkers... and adding boilers etc into your mod while retaining the NO mercs game play ?

hey... thnx for creating this one of the 2 mods my self and my friends use since the other PR mod stopped working when they updated the game....

which makes it more like it should be... I have been wondering though is there any way to create the smartgun with the motion scanner attached like Vasquez had in Aliens???

wish they would also do away with the buying too but add a cutting and welding the main doors etc might add more intensity to the gameplay in bug hunt or at the very least be allowed to re shut then open doors you already opened/bought

150 players and no lag and that was when I had a 56K modem running on the old Novalogic servers... the gameplay was amazing and it really encouraged team play...

I actually got that chance and tbh I have to say I loved it made it feel so much more epic...

from a graphics standpoint for all those who focus purely on looks first gameplay second... sure it didn't look as good as other games but hey who cares... no point in having all the glitz and bangs without the ability to actually enjoy it.... if thats all they are after then they would probably get more joy out of a movie....

I for one will be buying a new copy of this game if i cannot get my old copy back

as for Battlefield 1942 beater, personally I would say its a BF2 beater...

the latest update prevents any "exploits" to the game, unfortunately this meant that the weapons/survival... will not work unless either 1 of 2 things happen...

1) Gearbox allow this mod, which in my honest opinion completes the game, making it more true to what I think makes it closer to the Aliens movie...

or

2) the creator can find a way of over coming the stupidity of the game programmers when choosing to defile some of movies greatest weapons...

so we all should wish "good luck" to Agatsuma and for us to be patient, as all good things come to those who wait... :D

yeah since the update stopped the mod from being able to work my m8s and I really find the game lacking...

I really enjoy the Aliens CM game though even with bugs and glitches they didn't seem to bother me, personally I thought the graphics were really good, better even with the custom ones but as i said never had much of a problem... apart from the weapons...

MK2 seems far too weak, and the smart gun seems far too weak too, but when we tried your mod, that's when the game came to life

I do hope that they integrate a mod manager to allow it to work

thnx for taking teh time either way... also I contacted Gearbox and made a recommendation that your mod be allowed to be used in ACM either by mod launcher or them contacting you regarding the improvements you made... to maybe contact yourself as your mod brought the game closer to what the game should be
if anything if they do take it further and take the matter at heart then it may make your life easier where creating any future mod is concerned hopefully :)

since the latest update on steam A:CM wont load with the real USCM weapons, which is a huge pity as my self and my m8 really feel that the weapons feel much more closer to the movies than the games MK2 crap...

and thus makes the game by far more enjoyable to play :) is there any way around this ?

a few m8s of mine found out that if u deactivate ur router firewall they work fine
not sure why this works but before i even got the same issues...

also the options you need setting high are "Textures" and "Effects"

hey firstly i would like to thank you for making this mod... GR is an all time favourite of myself and my friends but we had to admit despite its still high fun factor and highly playable selection of game modes... we all had to agree without mod's out there this game would've been dead quite some time ago...
don't get me wrong we think even now the odd vanilla GR is great for a retro blast, but it does show its age alot... classic though... but your mod has really allowed the heat to raise in our games and has brought that once intense feeling back when u know ur just about to get shot... but the difference is you know but ur not sure as nothing is on map :)

so my only question is after quite possibly sounding like a total kiss a$$... when's the next installment coming out?

also personally my self and my buddies think the weapon and kit selection is just fine... the various kit choices are what also make the game fun to play...

but a suggestion Cat & mouse, u ever tried it where you get grenades only? not GL's but normal frags... and the mouse gets the mp5 thats where the real fun starts ;) quite difficult tbh as u have to predict the mouses next move :) could u have that as an option in a future release? if not np but thnx anyways :D

firstly i'd like to say from what i read so far and the small portion i managed to play a while ago of 1.0 i really think this is without a doubt an absolutely awesome mod.... however i cant seem to get neither version 1.0 working anymore, not even sure as to why it stopped working and 2.0 just wont seem to run on my system tried almost everything i can think of.. so i may re-install again and see if that helps with a fresh copy of FoC... if not then i'll wait patiently but eagerly for 2.1/2.2 etc... however the issues could be down to something i forgot to do...

btw will the next version be compatible with the EaW/FoC mod launcher or will it require the same installation as 1.0/2.0?

anyways thanks for your effort on this mod... and keep up the fantastic work :D

dude! absolutely awesome mod... and well worth the wait I must say...

I know it's only a beta but after 2 hours of non-stop play I found no bugs at all with in that time, and very stable and engrossing game-play

I would say this has to be THE best TW mod ever created :)

also I would like to make a slight suggestion though, with base defences and some structures like power plants, I thought (not that it needs it) but why not start out with a lesser tech defence then as you upgrade Levels the defences either automatically upgrade or you can upgrade them manually.

but tbf this actually works well as it is... and as said before is an absolutely awesome mod! many thanks for making and sharing it with us :D
