I see what you mean but the light is more ambient than directional/spot lights. Maybe will give it a go and see what it looks like :)

Yeh, this was made for my dissertation, until the texture came out nicely then thought I'd use it for my portfolio, maybe I should change the door :)
I think you need to work on the hands a bit more. Overall I think it lacks definition. To me, it looks like his right hand is actually a left hand that has been flipped, mainly because thumb looks like it's curved backwards, but that could a lighting issue.
You're getting there though!
Screen shots doesn't really do it any justice. Got falling hail that breaks on impact of the road, cloth, rain & lightning so a lot more is going on in gameplay :)
Thanks for the comment :) its in UDK
Completely agree with everything and was gonna do a lot more to it but uni started and my focus just diminished. Was mainly built for practice purposes really.
The light effetcs (caustics) is a caustic texture that's used as a light function :) and then used a cloud texture with another light function to have the ground lighter and darker in certain areas. It's all animated too but have no video yet.
Cool little scene. I think the lighting needs a bit more work though. From what I see the table is casting two shadows when there is only one light. Also shadows are never black, I would suggest having your main light source (the ceiling light) and then have a very dim light lower down that doesn't cast shadows. Also try using emissive textures to light the underside of the ceiling lamp shade as it looks like the light isn't affecting the lampshade :) good start though!
You're exactly right, it's not the borg but was based on the them :)
