The launcher moves TGW files between the NTW data folder and a TGW folder, so if Darthmod has a similar thing going where the NTW data folder is clean after use, you should be fine. If there are residual mod files left in the NTW data folder however, you will run into trouble. Not sure if the campaign files will work. Not familiar with every aspect of Darthmod, either.

Sounds like a memory issue, this type of issue causes most of the crashes in-battle. It's not necessarily down to your computer but rather the game engine. Try reducing unit size or playing on memory non-intensive maps (if you're playing custom/MP battles). Cheers.

Still agents, but this is another agent type intended for anti-building/anti-army operations.

The hexagonal camouflage pattern is known as a 'lozenge camouflage' and was used on the Gotha bombers in various colour combinations.

Some of the custom made battle maps have a very high memory loading. Because programs like N:TW normally cannot exceed a certain memory limit imposed on it by the operating system (if I recall correctly the exact limit is dependent on whether the system is 32-bit or 64-bit), the program will eventually crash if too many things are going on at once, regardless of computer 'specs'. Though why this seems to be related to sound effects, only artillery (in some cases) etc. we can't exactly answer.

Well that is just plain weird. I don't really have a good answer. Is your base N:TW patched? Can you play custom battles?

That's strange. Are there ANY other abnormalities?

At this point we haven't decided. Most likely one of the less developed major nations, perhaps Russia, perhaps Austria, perhaps Italy. Perhaps a group of minor nations with a specific theme in mind.

That sounds like a script bug. Find your preferences.script in AppData/Roaming/The Creative Assembly/Napoleon/scripts and delete it (back it up first!). Launch the game. I don't know why this bug occurs, it's certainly not related to the installation of the mod, but that should fix it.

The classic scale setting may be broken, we are looking into a more general fix for scales in 5.2 (the "French" update).

It's purchasable through Steam (however that means you get a digital copy). I think hard copies are harder (pun not intended) to come by as the game is quite old by now.

Thank you ModDB and congratulations to the other winners and runner-ups! Also a big thanks to both fans of World War I and N:TW!

They appear to have gone from the description on the Mod page, which is more general and describes campaign mechanics (the Dreadnought units and campaign models as well as the gameplay mechanics are in; the battle models are not, because there is no converter)

The FT Renault came with both MG and cannon armament, so yes, there will be both a "male" and a "female" variant of this tank.

Maybe but for the moment we will continue with the "mobile artillery" approach. Converting them to elephants will result in another unique set of problems etc.

Just to make an official statement: we have now begun working on the next major patch, which will focus on France. The St Chamond tank is only one item on a list of goodies that the French will receive in this update. Also expect some bugfixes and other general polishing.

Go to C:/Users/AppData/Roaming/The Creative Assembly/Napoleon Total War/scripts

Place the preferences.script file in a backup folder (if anything goes wrong you may want it later, instead of hard deleting it).

Launch the game!

Okay, I think Mitch forgot to mention that I am still working on the classic scale crash, but now you know :P

It was savegame compatible for me. Did you play on the classic scale in your campaign?

We have found and fixed the turn 50-60 campaign game CTD, I have now been able to play through several campaigns to late 1918 (which is the upper end of the "guaranteed to work" timeframe)!

This update will be rolled out soon as 5.1.3. The fix is savegame compatible.

1) Should only occur on the tiny scale, or when playing on smaller unit sizes on the normal scale. I will look into this for the tiny scale.

2) I do not recognize this bug but perhaps it was durig a city assault?

CA (the creators of the vanilla N:TW) actually did the same thing and added ranks to the members of the French guard units, if I recall correctly. I thought it added some nice extra detail and at the rather trivial cost of over representation of the private and sergeant ranks. I am not familiar with this Austrian cap issue, however?

Do you play on the classical scale perhaps? What is the size (in number of men) of your average rifle unit? Have you installed 5.1.2?

Nope, sadly not. It doesn't really go too well together with the fact that we can't animate its wheels, and aditionally, it looks a bit freakish (and was never actually used :P ).

If you mean the campaign map artillery unit crashes, then yes. Not sure about the large scale though, that may need updating.

They are, you can build airfields of increasing tier (and correspondingly, depending on increasingly higher technology) to get airplanes. There are reconnaissance, bomber and fighter planes.
