Cool looking forward to it. I like what you've done with SSC, and the promo shots for BSGFC look really promising. I know we have a bad history but you guys are doing really good. Thumbs up.
I could see falcons being like hammerheads and hornets being like the orcas.
Oh ok cool. Looking forward to any release you guys do as long as the intellectual property of the original developers is kept. They also gave us permission to use their stuff, is this okay with you guys?
Are you guys using new models and textures for BSGFC or are they still the old ones created by the old team?
This is old now, but I'm still really excited for the re-release.
It's not a phobia, I'm not scared of Halo 4. I just don't like the art all that much in Halo 4, its crap compared to Reach - especially the textures they did for the Reach rips.
Also its not that I have Halo 4 phobia, since I thought the game was OK. The designs in Halo 4 are nothing like any other designs seen in previous Halo games made by Bungie and thus would not fit in with the rest of the ships. Our mod also takes place before the fall of Reach, so to have this content would not make sense. Most of the Halo 4 stuff is crap, though.
There is already a model made for the carrier, however we're not going to put ships in because you feel they should be in. If you want to make your own mod, go ahead and put whatever you want in it. This is our mod and we're going to do it the way we want to do it. And if that means that we're going to omit ships for the sake of gameplay, as the summary says, then we will.
Using pelicans as corvettes? Haha no. Post halo 3 crap will not be in the mod, especially the autumn class cruiser, which is the biggest joke ever. We don't have the sabre but a drone based variant based on concept art. The gorgon is planned to be in the mod, and if any consideration is to be made for capture ships it would be the Charon class.
Please be aware the ship choices we've made all serve a purpose and work. We've taken artistic liberties to broaden the spectrum, make things look more interesting and get around canon designs that we don't like, don't make sense or wouldn't really fill a roll in the mod.
Here's the original:
Closer than ever.
Oh that's weird the way Max does the export. I usually just use the viewport statistics.
660 triangles cannot be right. It is either equal to the amount of Polygons or more. Is it 6600 triangles?
God this makes me want to pick up Freelancer again, but I just don't have time. >:
He's talking about the smoothing groups.
What happened to the concept i did a while ago?
This is an amazing background as well. How did you do it?
beautiful background. I don't care for the asteroids in it, though.
I told you to bust some synths a long time ago. Why did it take you two years??
That was me a couple months ago, so good luck!
Thanks for the kind words, it really means a lot to hear from new fans of the mod. :)
Now you just need to change those buttons up and you'll have a pretty good menu setup.
I did that so all the files are neatly organized. All of my modifications are done with Notepad, though.
"637 Polygons for the pyramid
1000 Polygons for the basis."
How is this possible? In the image above it says 7,459 polys.
What, having 15 Charons swarm an Assault Carrier wouldn't be cool with cover fire from cruisers and corvettes? :P
Of course. :)
Well the idea for capture was going to use a Charon-class frigate similar to the vanilla experience, where the Charon latches to the enemy ship like the Ascendant Justice/Gettysburg hybrid and unload a platoon of soldiers.
No, we never made a marine capture ship. We had ideas, but it never really felt appropriate within the Halo universe for ships to capture other ships.
Well Archers would rip Covenant ships to shreds if they were unshielded, they just had no effect on Covenant shields.
