660 triangles cannot be right. It is either equal to the amount of Polygons or more. Is it 6600 triangles?

I did that so all the files are neatly organized. All of my modifications are done with Notepad, though.

Well the idea for capture was going to use a Charon-class frigate similar to the vanilla experience, where the Charon latches to the enemy ship like the Ascendant Justice/Gettysburg hybrid and unload a platoon of soldiers.
No, we never made a marine capture ship. We had ideas, but it never really felt appropriate within the Halo universe for ships to capture other ships.
Well Archers would rip Covenant ships to shreds if they were unshielded, they just had no effect on Covenant shields.

In that picture it has a shroud that goes around the ball area of the turret.
I would think the Thanatos would be the one made for survive-ability considering the Covenant threat. Both have two MACs, one can last longer and the small turrets don't do much to Covenant shields.
Gun is probably too detailed for an RTS game. Could use those extra polys to make the shroud for the turret.
The model could probably be optimized more based on the shading artifacts on the front of the arm. How many tris?

Well in terms of their two roles, the Orthrus is used mainly for massive damage up front and dealing with harder targets while the Thanatos is more like the frigate in that its good at moving and taking out softer targets easier.
Does CNC3 use/support normal mapping? I'm just curious because it looks like you used emboss techniques on your Pelican texture.
You could probably knock a few polies off by removing the hub cap detail, it's not really needed and can be added in easily by a texture.
