I bought freespace 2 just for this mod. its okay but i cant see any beams ingame, as in the ion beams, they dont show up at all. looks pretty dull without them

in my own personal little hw2 mod i turned off debris entirely, my pc costs like £2000 and has some of the best hardware available, but it still can not handle the amount of debris that just gets permanently left in space on top of the monsterous battles that take place without an extremely noticable frame rate drop.
no idea how you people play homeworld 2 multi player, whenever i have tried. modded or not, patched or not. it always looses sync and kicks everyone
the personal ion cannon uses the same sound effect as the main Ion cannon blast explosion (the one at the end of beacon placement after the big laser has come down)
its not a seperate sfx. unless you make your own map if you change one you will change both of them.
well im not "many others". and building a base outside your base is quite literally impossible to do. 4vs4, Nod vs GDI, there is just absolutely no way to support that kind of a move. the AI build millions of tanks and swarm the map. it would just get overrun in seconds. I build 2 refinerys and 2 extra harvesters, the AI build like 5 refinerys each. no matter how you slice it, there just isnt enough tiberium with the stock settings to keep the game flowing at full pace the whole time. 40+ harvesters eating all they see. not to mention combat which gets rid of most of the tiberium while you try to consume it.
well this mod is very impressive, im not really interested in playing with other people, the idea of finally having a skirmish mode for the original C&C.. it only took somebody 19 years to do it right.
Ive been waiting for this. :P
the one thing i can say is i had to edit the rules file and increase the tiberium growth and spread by almost 10, otherwise it made huge battles unbearable.

I think I may have fixed this, remembering stuff from old TS modding experience, i believe FRAPS is to blame for the crashing? i turned that off and it's lasted 1 minute so far.

Hi this is great, been following this for a long time, though silently.
the game just crashed when i attempted to save over a save file (one id saved over dozens of times already) and then when i go back ingame and try to load it it says
IdRestoreGame::InitializeCache Bad Cache offset (1065353216)
and then goes back to the main menu.. upsetting because this is the only save i have.. I was playing the "tears of st lucia" mission :(
