very true mate well, we start reshoots for in game stuff this weekend so as soon as i get some stuff on the go ill get it to you somehow.
Basically we hav an ingame soundtrack system whereby you can toggle period songs, what (the war mod that is). However what i'm looking for is a peice of instrumental music that is original and catchy enough so that it becomes associated with the mod and can be used in all our videos. :D, People have suggested we use things like the Band of Brothers sound track but that seems very cheesey and in the past we stuck to more original scores. I would however love something along those lines developed for the mod.
Hey mate we have a couple of trailers coming up for the mod i work and i was wondering if you were interested in doing some music for us? if you are let me know and i'll give you some more details :D cheers mate.
The group does not require anything from you friend. Its just a group created so if you need any cristism or whatnot for your work, your more then welcome to post it up, or ask the other members ;]
hallow do u use msn messanger at all? if so let me know ill add you to my list. always nice to have people to bounce my latest work off of.
Yeah, 'esfumato' was one of them. I noticed previously that his comments were off target and that some were strangely critical of LM, so I've asked him to explain his reasoning behind wanting to join. He's yet to get back to me, and I'm well leaning towards 'deny'. The others I think have aspirations of being lone modders, or have confused it with a term for 'freelancer' (contributor). Personally, I too thought LM was fairly self-explanitory! Oh well. :)
Ah, since you were talking about "downloading to watch" I thought the site we were talking about (the site I was talking about anyways) was of the "my oficial web pages (i.e. Official Page Maxpayne.levels4you.com)" variety. Nm, just thought I might be able to help out with a suitable workaround.
ION, I've been getting a lot of weird LM join requests from ppl who seem unclear on the concept, ppl who have no mods listed under their profiles and ppl who are part of a team. I guess the group name is misleading somehow...
>>>Also, you can't watch the video's from the site either, just download them to watch.
Unless I'm mistaken, once it's a .swf, you should be able to stream it from your webpage to any (up-to-date) Flash enabled browser. All you have to do is link to where the file resides on your server...
Dcdthegame.com
If I wrong and the above link doesn't work, please correct me as my latest news post relies on the aforementioned assumptions... :)
Woot! Sabertooth kick-line!
Hey, just thought of something. You can use the following free encoder
Erightsoft.com
to create a .swf that you can stream directly from your webpage. Hope maybe this helps!
Well, if Intense is true to his word, they'll be up soon. It does suck that the mods with vids get a head start, but I'm more concerned with the fact that there are less categories than last year, something which is less likely to change between now and the end of voting.
BTW, what vid cap app are you using to make your vids?
