You could say music is poetry because there are lyrics and you could say those lyrics are poems.
But I don't listen to metal for the lyrics. The guitars have to be heavy and fast, drums have to be powerfull and aggressive and so on...
The vocals are just a small part.
If you get what I mean....

and btw Mudvayne and that other crap, that's nu-metal aka friggin shit metal which i don't listen to. ;)

THat's a shame. But don't get me wrong... Mudvayne, Drowning Pool and that crap is not poetry.
