So it's kinda spiffy that we can do this stuff new now, blog, post media, have friends and whatnot, but these things don't even work properly (would be nice if the gallery had image ordering, thumbnailing features), and you can't help noticing that a ton of stuff that made moddb user-friendly are simply gone. Most glaring of all, that you can no longer tell immediately what mod a news post is linked to, and what game this mod is for. I think this sentiment is one that lots of people carry as well.
Anyways, I don't even do much modding these days, just conceptualisation when I'm not lazy (well I'm getting out of the armed forces soon, conscription and all that) and some paintings here and there to help out with the mods that I love, so I'm not quite sure just what I'm doing here anymore or if this opinion even counts.

Hiya, thanks a lot..yeah I think a lot of concept art is very hard to distinguish these days..cg talk is an awesome site however a lot of the work is very samey i find...I don't know if it's just me :S It's quite hard to define your own style, as its all been done before.
Since i worked in a small games company I have improved a lot! Im going back there over christmas whilst im home from uni, so that should be good, i think often the best way to learn is to get thrown in at the deep end as you have no excuses :) I have really enjoyed entering this competition too!
