About a year or  ago I saw a few youtube videos about Bio-shock in development, I was truly psyched, the visuals were top-notch, the art style was quite lovely, and the gameplay looked amazing.

So after all that time it finally got released, it scored high ratings, made some fans, and you know, the usual praise here and there. Anyway I came across a video review by Ben Croshaw a.k.a "Yahtzee", and it pretty much changed my about mind buying it.

Being the complete idiot I was, I decided to see the ending by watching it on....you guessed it!,   youtube...which was pretty much the dumbest move I made, because later on I bought it out of sheer boredom.

As I got the game started, it actually ran ok on my old 3ghz Emachine, not flawlessly somewhat smooth. Getting into the gameplay was pretty good when battling some splicers, and pretty much "HACKING" (pipe tweaking) everthing in sight to aid me in my battles. Some of the techniques used to take care of certain enemies got redundant, and the slow process of killing  big daddies got old fast. Although the graphics and ambience are quite excellent and kept me interested through the whole game, Some people say Graphics have no affect on gameplay, but doing it like Bio-Shock actually works with the gameplay. So yeah, this game is quite immersive, oh and I forgot to mention how cool some of the upgrades to your character are, like sending an enemy up in the air with that wind related plasmid I forgot the name of.

Concluding my review I would like to express that the idea of those re-incarnation chambers really lamed it up a bit, and the fact that you can only install the game twice, and then you might have to ask the publishers for a new validation key (Look I don't know if they allow that so don't try it yet.).

It's a good game, just wait until the price drops to $30 or something, then try it out.
