Hi all!
Whilst this has nothing to do with me or what I am up to at the moment, I had to write something about this amazing instrument - Reactable.
I came across Reactable at Bjork gig and was totally blown away by it. Reactable is a 'collaborative electronic music instrument with a tabletop tangible multi-touch interface' the main premise is that you have different blocks that you can add to a the screen and dependent on how you manipulate these sounds you can create different sounds and samples. Currently the software is open source but you do have to build the table yourself.
Check out more at the Reactable website
As for me I am busy beavering away at new tunes for Black Sierra, Aracdium and I have recently teamed up with the Zombie Apocalypse: Psychosis Rising team to create a theme tune for their mod.
hey man great job on the arcadium track ;)
Just a "wow" and a watch. Keep up the absolutely astounding work.
Hiya, seen you posted a few comments and questions so I thought it would be easier to send you a thumbs up for the great music you've uploaded and answer your Q's at the same time!
I have used Sibelius previously for scoring you were right on that, but I also use Pro Tools and Cubase more often for the recording and production stages. The orchestral suites I use are the Vienna Sound Orch (http://vsl.co.at/) and I tend to labour a lot on getting the right sound in term of vibrato and gliss etc.
thanks for the modwatch, Beta 2.0 is coming out soon! Check back for details in a few days!
thanks for the comment on the blog, good luck with your mod as well, i'll be listening
I received a PM from Micah, I replied to him about Black Sierra. And I sent you a friend's request over MSN.
