Hah this is awesome!
So currently the only person "working" at GSC is the owner?
Wait so GSC isn't closed? I thought the team changed their name to Vostok Games and are now working on a new IP called Survarium...?
Haven't played PR for about 3 years now. Will definitely give the 1.0 a go!
The effect looks really awesome!
That's disturbing. Like, Silent Hill-type disturbing.
Good job, can't wait to see more!
I'm getting a nice Resident Evil(the earlier PS1 games) vibe from all this. Awesome job so far!
I love that you can control the flashlight so precisely, that's awesome!
IMO his feet are too far back making him look like he just tripped on something and is about to fall on his head
Damn, that sucks. Weird though how some people don't make backups of their hard work, HDD crashes are quite common.
I hope you guys can get back on track soon :)
Happy new year to you too!
I'd love to be there during the play session but again the finals in uni ruin everything :(
The first thing I thought when saw this was "awww" :D
It just looks cute
Right on, Finland! My northern neighbors :D
"You kill someone- you take yourself with him; eye for an eye"
If anyone hasn't tried out Casus Belli yet I'd strongly advise doing so, it's a really fun mod with awesome map design. You can play it with the Crysis Wars trial client which you can get for free. The only problem right now is low player numbers
He looks kind of...ordinary I guess? Like some random office worker. He should look more bad-***
Just my thoughts though
Of course; that timezone bit wasn't a complaint, just me expressing my angst about this inevitable timezone difference, it always screws things up with live streams
Last night's live stream was really cool, I really like that you can ask questions in the chat and you get an instant reply, it's just awesome :)
Too bad my time zone is so far ahead of yours, I hate staying up late :(
Unfortunately this seems to be true- Dezowave.com
Guys, just take a break from all this, rest, enjoy the summer, but please finish this project some time in the future! You just can't leave it like that after all these years!!!
OOoooh damn! This must be the most detailed weapon model I've ever seen, no joke! It looks absolutely awesome!
Ah yes, no scary game/mod is complete without a mental hospital :D
I love these places!
That's one good lookin' radiator
Can you improve the sun in any way? Right now it looks like someone just added a white circle in Paint.
Everything else looks awesome bwt!
Aaahh!! I can't wait! I've never played this mod, I wanted to try it out at the start of this year, but thought I should wait for the 008 update as it seemed it wouldn't take too long.
Boy was I wrong...:D
Oh boy, can't wait!
This looks really cool!
Best of luck with your new project! A total conversion is a huge undertaking, but I'm more than certain that with your enthusiasm and will to learn new things you'll make it Beacon!
I can't see a thing
Daaamn dude....Those look really beautiful!
EDIT: btw, Holden, have you looked into the forum's suggestions section? There's this small thing I thought might make LURK a bit better, please do have a look!
Nice update, and thanks for being honest!
Can't wait to try out 1.1!
I love exploring old abandoned structures too. There are quite a lot abandoned Soviet-era railway-associated buildings and service depots and stuff like that near my town, it's just a hell of a thrill for me to walk into a place where you know that at some point there were people hard at work there and all sorts of machinery was used and stuff like that, and looking through old paper-weights and stuff, it's just too amazingly cool. And exploring more regular-type of abandoned buildings is fun too.
It's really nice to know that a person which that kind interests is working on a mod like this, he'll be that much more better at capturing the old abandoned feeling of those buildings, which I can't get enough of in games (like STALKER)
Awesome review, and mad props to the Raindrop team, this mod is going to be a real treat to play!
I'm afraid my neighbours aren't that excited about the new sounds... xD
Holy...sweet mother of lord....Are those "god/sun-rays" ?? AWESOME!!!
At first I thought it was Fallout 3. Quite an awesome concept you've got there
It's because of the way the STALKER's universe is built: the Zone is technically off-limits, guarded by the army, so people have to smuggle in all the ammo and other stuff and it's not easy
Will a headshot with an AP round kill everything?
The impossible has become true
Holy crap guys, seriously, massive congrats!!!
So there's still hope the New Ordanance part will be implemented some time later?
I can wait; I do want some nice variety in my arsenal :)
I can honestly say that I'm happy for this delay- this means that you guys are really taking the time to iron out all the bugs and make the first playthrough as enjoyable as possible.
Keep up the awesome work and take your time, no need to rush things. I'm sure that when you finally release Lost Alpha it will be worth all the wait :)
It looks like it's made out of stone :)
But the point here is to show off the model, not the texture I believe; and the model looks nice
Apocalypse usually means the devastation of the whole world, in STALKER only the area of the Zone is affected. So yeah, it's not actually post-apocalyptic IMO. But saying "post-local disaster" or something like that would be weird :P
The props' placement could use some work, I agree, but please for the love of god don't turn this game into another generic brown mess. Who said that post-apocalyptic means that there are no colors other than brown?
It says "ciao!" before blowing up the enemy
Holy crap. That's like...putting on an air breathing cap :S
Take your time. I believe everyone wants a good polished mod a bit later than a buggy one sooner :)
But still, I can't wait!!!
Looks like a real stone.
Awesome job whoever did this!
I'd rather have a polished mod than a rushed one, no matter how much longer it takes.
You can only have the "new" experience only once- the first time you play it; and no matter how much you patch it afterwards the first (the most interesting) playthrough experience will be ruined if the mod is not polished enough.
Yes yes YES!!! I'm really excited :D!
This look absolutely awesome! I can't wait to try all this out.
It's a real shame though that there are so many different mods, each adding something special to the game that other mods don't have. It would be the best thing ever if all the biggest mod developers collaborated and made one big mod
You should have an NPC walk or run through the fog, this would bring out the dynamic aspect a lot more
YEEESS you're alive! Can't wait for more!!!
nvm my comment, sorry
The only Max Payne 2 mod I tried back in the day was Hall of Mirrors- Moddb.com
It's based on the movie Equilibrium, it was pretty neat
Maps look a lot less empty now, awesome job!
lol I though you were going to sleep in that safe xD
Wooooowww...This look absolutely stunning!!
This sure was a day full of updates!
i hope those fire places are just temporary light sources because otherwise that place should be full of smoke and by now all those people would have already died in CO and CO2 poisoning :)
You guys are doing all this for free from your own spare time, we as players have no right to demand anything and if someone gets angry because of this delay then it is his/her own problem. Take your time and release the patch when you guys feel that it's done, we can wait :)
So you're back on track with the NO mod! That's awesome news!
Wow, that's some insane amount of work and dedication man! I don't think there are many mods out there that have had their audio designer go out and record new gun sound like that (correct me if I'm wrong). The only one I know for sure is BF2's mod Project Reality
Ooohh, looks awesome!!!!
Oh YES!!! Congrats on another release guys! This'll be awesome!!!
And btw- HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUNTER!!!
