It looks cool but, for me personally, huge floating chunks of earth is a bit too much.
Triple A games are games that have a very high quality like most big developers' (DICE, Blizzard, Bethesda etc) games.

Why do you have to release LA earlier just because some idiots leaked an early version? I honestly don't see any logic here. If someone wants to ruin their own fun by playing an unfinished leaked game then let them, it's their own loss. You can still keep developing the mod and release it when it's truly finished. There were even some leaked versions of the original STALKER before its release. This doesn't make any sense to me, could someone explain?
Using the light to kill the enemies was a unique feature of Alan Wake, but even your visual effects look really similar- it's no wonder people are making this comparison.

But one question- a while ago I made a suggestion about seeing your own shadow in first person view. Have you looked into this? Can it be done? It would make me want to play the underground levels even more, add to that the new HDR effects and high-res textures and stuff...Oh boy, I can't wait!!!
I have to agree that the bloom is a bit overdone, and because of that the shadows look a bit too dark. At first I mistook the shadows with them being part of those towers and because of that I thought those were all cranes xD

Usually I just can't read through these long articles, but this one was written with such passion, and it was actually interesting! It's amazing that you could accomplish something that other modders, even GSC themselves with all their tools and knowledge (but time constraints) couldn't! I mean, really, major props to you, and of course your team!
I've been a long term STALKER fan too, followed it from the start and I dreamt what the game should look like when it finally releases. I was a bit disappointed when I finally got to play it, but you and your team have definitely brought it close to the game in dreams :) Can't wait for the 1.1 release!
PS. So is 1.1 going to be the final version for SoC?
