I understand your point but seeing as Xreal has almost all the features implemented, there is no learning curve for me. It would take me even longer to understand the code then to write it my self. So i´d rather start from scratch, learn how it works and write it my self.
Yes, if you don´t want the window showing, just click on that and it´ll minimize it down to the task bar (or solution bar.. whatever it´s called).

Alright.. so i played this for about 2h and i must say: HOLYSHIT!. This game has some very unique gameplay i have never played before and i could easly play another 2hs. The amount of enemies and overall whats going on while playing is amazing!. The down side for me is that its too low poly/detail for my taste and another thing i noticed is that the weapon reloading is too slow.
I have seen this game somewhere before when it was in progress but now im going to try it out, looks very impressive! :).

Im not really sure what you mean by 'standalone'.
I use Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 for coding. You can get the open sourc quake 2 engine on id softwares home page or you could start out with a already moded q2 engine.
i never liked SP in q2 very much but i usually play this q2 mod Project-vortex.com

Im not a modeler so i don´t know but i really hope so but i think i have to implement the material system first because then you can have some really good looking models :)
Well it´s more of a grapichal update :)
Q2e was more of a singelplayer modification since it broke backwards capabilities (not allowing you from playing on servers also which is one sad reason) all thought i got much influenced by the mod but then it died out :(.
well what i mean is that you should take more time to show off things not just 1min peak in every scene like go into detail and stuff.
Also can you make it kinda long like really zoom in on stuff so we could see the details because the other 2 videos you didnt really see the detail of stuff (like 1min for each scene)
