project magenda searching for 3d artists (character design) noshrac studios anywhere artists [center][/center] about us: we're a 9 member studio, with programmers, artists, sound engineers and designers. currently working on a 12 month project called magenda. we have a built a schedule, we're working about 3 or 4 maybe 5 days per week. currenty looking for: we're currently looking for character modelers / designers to help us model the characters we already designed, some of them are even sketched out. story line of magenda: 25 years ago, the great war ended. the great war, between the coalition and the insurrection, not only killed billions over the 90 years that it raged, but it stripped the planet virtually bare of its resources. deforestation has seen most of the remaining forests in the world become state-owned wood farms. years of one bad harvest after another have seen wheat and grain command higher and higher prices. precious metals such as silver and gold are very hard to come by. iron ore is extremely rare as well. as a result of this, gunpowder has fallen out of use. plenty of old guns are around, but the resources to make the bullets for them are too expensive and rare, seeing warriors revert to using blades. again, the metals to make them being in such short supply, they are often made of brittler metals or wood. the great war has, in essence, generated a major resource and economic crisis. the population figures have boomed in recent generations, but have led to the younger population far outweighing the older. the population boom has led to an increase in human waste, homelessness and the construction of many shantytowns. in all, despite the medieval technology, the surface world is once suffering a major environmental crisis that will only escalate as time goes on. that is until the excavation of magenda 3 years ago – a legendary and vast network of ancient mines. these mines doubled as an underground kingdom for an ancient tribe of dwarves that went mysteriously extinct 800 years ago – a labyrinth of colossal proportions, extending for an unknown number of miles in all directions. magenda is also rich in the silver and gold ore that is so rare throughout the rest of the world, leading the major powers of the world to engage in major mining operations to revive their economies. major mercenary mining companies are set up, selling ore to the highest bidder and getting very rich and politically influential in the process. lone adventurers will often venture into the mines, venturing deep into magenda to find ore for themselves, one of the powerful mining companies or independent metal bootleggers on the surface. a year ago, a much more durable, flexible and plentiful metal was found much deeper into the mines – pessatium. pessatium presents the answer to the global iron shortage as an alternative and very easily usable resource. there is the vague legend of the magenda dwarves who once mined and forged pessatium themselves for a number of years, only to mysteriously vanish from history. their only remaining ancestors are the mountain-dwelling dwarves; themselves a dying culture, armed with a premonition about the doom that accompanies the mining of pessatium, much like that which claimed the magenda dwarves. payment: we're a small independent studio searching for young talents to help us build a community and start growing some profit from it, as well to make a fantasy world for players to enjoy and have fun along with it. we do not provide payments yet. notes: to view the full picture click on it, or open it in a new tab (resolution problems). - nejc
