3d modeller needed for weapon models and more heroes of the west mod team anywhere artists hi i'm part of the heroes of the west mod team. we are working on a mod for red orchestra 2 which is a ww2 realism shooter. we want to mod the game to feature the western front as well. it's on the unreal 3 engine. this opportunity will look great on you're portfolio. but we need some new weapons to better reflect the time period. and modifications done to current weapons of the game to make them more authentic to 1944 rather than 1942. new weapons we need are the german g-43 semi automatic rifle and the german stg-44 automatic assault rifle. the game currently has a g-41 rifle and an mkb42 assault rifle which are similar to the guns we want. but they are far too out of place and too different to modify in both looks and operation. though they can be used for reference. we would also like the m1a1 thompson smg. currently the game has a 1928m1 thompson. it would also be good to have modifications done to the mp40, m1 carbine and thompson sub machine gun. the mp40 with the rear stock taken off the m1 carbine updated to the m1a1 carbine (may require a new model) the m1 garand with grenade launcher (will require grenades) the kar98k with grenade launcher (will require grenades). we can supply you with the original models and textures to edit off of. or to use as reference for making a new weapon. some other models would also add authenticity to the mod. the m38 german side cap. one blank one and one with insignia. the m42 german field cap. one without the winter side flaps and one with. vehicles. this is for the really good ambitious modellers out there. the americans lack vehicles. we would like a drivable m5 half track with an m2 50. cal machine gun on it. the pedal and gear levers need to be movable as done the vision slit. having the ability to open and close that. not the front windscreen variant. also the m4 sherman. a very large challenge that would need developer support and a small team. this will need a full interior modelled and rigged as well as an exterior. you would need some experience to create these. you don't need to make all of these. you can apply and ask to do only one of the above models which is fine. priority is the g-43. and then the stg-44.
