concept artists for scifi mmorpg skyshard anywhere artists we are skyshard and our goal is to make a game similar to how linux was/is being made: from the community for the community. it is going to be a free to play game with lots of features that are not yet decided. please see our project video: http://youtu.be/ctfm9txwlla the game is going to be a community-driven, free to play, sci-fi freelance mmo rpg. what we hold most important is feeling, so that players enjoy the gameplay. it is important that the community is just as integral in the creation of the game and the universe of the game as the developer team itself. about the gameplay the player will be free to go on missions, do pvp, travel or explore, no obligations, meaning you can fully level up and enjoy the game without being forced to do anything in the game. the game will not be focusing on just one element of the game. also, exploration and collecting knowledge, curiosity itself will hold key importance. you will be able to discover other species, tribes, cities and learn a lot from them (such as weapon skills, for example). as a character, you will start at a starting area (we hope to create several starting areas, not just only one per race) and you will be able to choose your profession and intentions, as well as background story, family, friends and so on. you can either sign up for the army, or be hired as a merc, be a trader, be part of a pirate crew or even the mafia, or just be a freelance explorer or journalist. who you are is really up to you, as well when you choose to depart from your starting area to infinity and beyond. mobs and npcs are planned to have complex behaviour, they will all be affected by weather and other happenings. you will be able to get information and hints from them, as well from the link (similar to the internet we have, but it is spread across the known universe and is accessible to all races), you can visit and create forums, blogs on it, you can send messages, etc. you will be able to access wormholes to travel very long distances in a short time. the wormholes will have stations built around them where you will have to pass security check. if you are a pirate/smuggler/criminal etc. you will have to use forged ids or use non-registered wormholes, at the risk of ending up in a black hole, a sun, or somewhere completely unexpected. you will be able to have a spaceship of your own or you can share it with someone or you can even have a full guild operating one as crew. you can battle other spaceships, npc or player’s, you can destroy or loot them as well. guilds can conquer non-colonized areas and establish trade ports, settlements, colonies there. these can be attacked, reconquered and destroyed. guilds can order materials to build and develop these areas, they can choose when and where they want to be delivered. these shipments can be attacked and stolen, either by random npc events or players. as written before, we are in very early idea development and production, so here is your chance to be part of something amazing and hard, for it will be hard for sure, but not impossible. we welcome anyone willing to help us from any field. at the moment we are in needs of digital artists, concept artists, designers for spacecrafts, species (humanoid, animal and plant life as well), scenery and environmental artists, modelers and programmers (we are going to use unity for now) we are also hoping to create an online comic book series of the history before the game's zero hour. for any further information or if you are willing to join us, please feel free to contact us at apply@skyshardgames.com

working to the end (until the project is finished) - personal progress in skills (learning new stuff) - individual freedom (i value this strongly myself, therefor it is something you can expect) well, most importantly, fun. short description. we can split this into two games, one is smaller and is part of the other larger. the smaller is to be a working game on its own. the smaller (initial project) isometric 3rd person post-apocalyptic arena multiplayer (8+ players at same time) game with character & item progress, mature themed, pc high compatibility. the larger (when the initial project is accomplished) isometric 3rd person post-apocalyptic mmorpg, fallout & mature themed, pc high compatibility. general description: theater. post-apocaliptic europe, devastasted by nuclear bombs and fallout (world is influenced by mad max series and fallout first 2 games, yet hopefully own style can emerge). sent back into medieval or even stone-age at some points. life of the inhabitants is poor, lack of food, water and other basic life elements. radiation, deseases have taken many to the other world, or deformed. people that remain are often desperate to get basic needs, but danger can lurk around any corner. diffrent groups have formed naturally to increase their life quality at the cost of the poor, raging fights with eachother over resources that remain, either with stones, lasers or diplomacy. some groups are more orginized then others, and use towns protection money as their main income instead of raiding and looting. some even are towns themselves that managed to raise walls against the raiders. gameplay. the player is set in the world some might describe as the last place before hell. every step and decision must he make with caution, however, everybody dies. death and character progress will be handled in unique way, definetly in a rpg way, yet less grind orientated and more out of love and care the player gives his characters, in other words, decisions and steps he takes. the world affect the player and the player affects the world. the global target, which is one, can be achived in many diffrent ways. as the world is harsh, full loot from player upon his death is free to take for anyone lucky (or... unlucky if its a trap) enough to find it. interaction between players are very important, yet not requirement to survive, sometimes its better to hide and let two people fight and as a third grab whats left of them. player groups can rage war against eachother, ground covered with dead bodies happen, the side that remains standing, scavages the dead, growing richer by enemy death count. the main goal for the player is to gain control over all recourses that remain. player can achive it by joining one of the player based groups, create own or try alone (yes). the politics between groups are natural, all trying to get as much protection over their fielfs as possible and yet expand. towns can be controlled by groups aswell as areas, laws are set by the group in control. too harsh rules might make the people rise arms against their oppressors through. general info. as this is an amateur project (no money involved), required skills are wide, meaning, if you are just starting to learn programming you might find this stimulating, however, having five people in team that are learning and none that acually knows is a dead end, therefor this will be handled rationally, its on my shoulders to find the balance. also, amount of free time that you put into creation of this project depends on you. no money involved, yet money might come, depends on quality of our works i would say. this is a short general overview. the detailed description will be sent to the intrested.

working to the end (until the project is finished) - personal progress in skills (learning new stuff) - individual freedom (i value this strongly myself, therefor it is something you can expect) well, most importantly, fun. short description. we can split this into two games, one is smaller and is part of the other larger. the smaller is to be a working game on its own. the smaller (initial project) isometric 3rd person post-apocalyptic arena multiplayer (8+ players at same time) game with character & item progress, mature themed, pc high compatibility. the larger (when the initial project is accomplished) isometric 3rd person post-apocalyptic mmorpg, fallout & mature themed, pc high compatibility. general description: theater. post-apocaliptic europe, devastasted by nuclear bombs and fallout (world is influenced by mad max series and fallout first 2 games, yet hopefully own style can emerge). sent back into medieval or even stone-age at some points. life of the inhabitants is poor, lack of food, water and other basic life elements. radiation, deseases have taken many to the other world, or deformed. people that remain are often desperate to get basic needs, but danger can lurk around any corner. diffrent groups have formed naturally to increase their life quality at the cost of the poor, raging fights with eachother over resources that remain, either with stones, lasers or diplomacy. some groups are more orginized then others, and use towns protection money as their main income instead of raiding and looting. some even are towns themselves that managed to raise walls against the raiders. gameplay. the player is set in the world some might describe as the last place before hell. every step and decision must he make with caution, however, everybody dies. death and character progress will be handled in unique way, definetly in a rpg way, yet less grind orientated and more out of love and care the player gives his characters, in other words, decisions and steps he takes. the world affect the player and the player affects the world. the global target, which is one, can be achived in many diffrent ways. as the world is harsh, full loot from player upon his death is free to take for anyone lucky (or... unlucky if its a trap) enough to find it. interaction between players are very important, yet not requirement to survive, sometimes its better to hide and let two people fight and as a third grab whats left of them. player groups can rage war against eachother, ground covered with dead bodies happen, the side that remains standing, scavages the dead, growing richer by enemy death count. the main goal for the player is to gain control over all recourses that remain. player can achive it by joining one of the player based groups, create own or try alone (yes). the politics between groups are natural, all trying to get as much protection over their fielfs as possible and yet expand. towns can be controlled by groups aswell as areas, laws are set by the group in control. too harsh rules might make the people rise arms against their oppressors through. general. as this is an amateur project (no money involved), required skills are wide, meaning, if you are just starting to learn programming you might find this stimulating, however, having five people in team that are learning and none that acually knows is a dead end, therefor this will be handled rationally, its on my shoulders to find the balance. also, amount of free time that you put into creation of this project depends on you. no money involved, yet money might come, depends on quality of our works i would say. this is a short general overview. the detailed description will be sent to the intrested

artist, programmers, management, designers(look in description) lost worlds llc anywhere programmers i am nicholas payson, lead team leader and owner for the lost worlds: end of mankind. we have been working on this project now for 4 months and are ready to take to the next level of production. we have a list of people from which we need filled. the game is a mmorpg shooter, horror, adventure game that takes place in 2035 a.d. you, as the player, get to choose what you want to be and how you want to be it in this game. the game has an exciting story line from which the player can follow, or be on his own and mass the wealth of the rich, or become a leader of the biggest bands. all is yours in this game! from building, crafting, salvaging, creating, warfare, adventure, and power; you will never get bored. storyline(needs to be revised): “youth is the period in which a man can be hopeless. the end of every episode is the end of the world. but the power of hoping through everything, the knowledge that the soul survives its adventures, that great inspiration comes to the middle-aged.” – gilbert k. chesterton 2025. if only the people could see how the future was to hold. many would be saved right now. but only god could help them, hopefully. people worry too much about the past and not enough about the future. they dwell on other people passing into the next world, but do not dwell enough on their own. they would see what was to come. the new year 2029, people so intrigued on another year, the times were good, usa came out of the recession and the population flourished on trade. but one thing would happen that would destroy them all. war broke back out in the european east. usa insisted to help sending over soldiers, harsh times followed and countries turned on each other for one simple thing, a fuel source. thousands of men died for nothing. the war continued on for five years sucking every little resource out of each country. eventually the countries couldn’t fight anymore, they had neither the supplies nor the men to fight, slowly they either surrendered or pulled out, but even then it was too late. by 2031, the world had no oil left; the only resource left to use was water. because of this, giant corporations took control of water mining and became rich, sucking the money out of the people’s pockets, even when they were looking at it. the world went into chaos, riots broke out and protest sprang out of the ground. all the people could do was to watch and try to survive, and thus they did. by early 2032, the world had consumed itself. food and water, as important as they are were hard to find. diseases ran rapidly throughout the world, thousands of people dying every day. it yet took a turn for the worst. criminal empires rose, helping some people and killing the others, it was a time when people turned on each other for a piece of bread. with the 15.3 billion people in the world, only now 7.2 billion existed and the rate of death increased each day. crime lords stood side by side with government officials as the government collapsed, but the worst has yet to come. a disease that no one has seen since the black plague came from out of the ground, people were getting sick, the doctors tried to find a cure but it was already too late. the ‘pitralon’ disease caused many changes to the human body, they became weak in sunlight, blurred vision, enhanced smelling and hearing senses where it became better than that of a dog. skin pigments thickened and turned pinkish-white, but very fragile to the touch. we had evolved! out of the 7.2 billion only 2 billion remained healthy. god has blessed you with your health, with your mind. the devil has taken your life. only you can change that, you have to find your way to survive at the lost worlds. positions : programmers(all programmers must have advanced knowledge in c#, server programmer must know python, mysql) server c# programmer c# programmer mechanical(deals with mechanics of the game) artist: 3-d character artist(rigging is a plus) 3-d model and props artist(rigging is a plus) 2-d lead artist 2-d visual artsit 2-d artist level designer animationist(needed for game trailers and in-game effects) audio: song composer/writer fx sound effects voice actors management: pr and marketing writers: story line and in-game writing in game writing game development: game designer(must be familiar with a gdd and how to write one) game designer(must be familiar with a gdd and how to write one) here are additional requirements in-order to join the team. as the team is trying to get the game out, you must have or follow these req.(the team is global) speak english 18+ ability to put 5+ hours of work a week dedication skype(be online once a day) show a cv/resume e-mail work in a team(or at least try if you haven't) payments will be given in royalties and as soon as game comes out all are available for being hired.
