Greetings all,
I'm Brock A. Melvin, sometimes known as BroculusRift, and I'm the Lead Producer for a small startup in Columbus, Ohio, Lunammoc Studios! Lunammoc is a virtual reality immersive content producer aimed at both consumer and business markets. Do you want to be involved in the Virtual Gaming scene? Read on, it's not THAT big of a read, just background information and the task at hand!
We are currently working on a 3D VR game, Alice VR, that will be released on mobile and PC (Oculus Rift)! It's an exciting, fun adventure game that follows the characters of Alice in Wonderland, but with our own story to tell!
As with any startup, we've had our ups and down and one of those being we have lost our animator/3D Modeler. Now, with budgets already forecast and the progress already made, we currently do not need a full time person (not even close) to fill the gap.
So, what DO we need? We need someone who is into 3D animation and is looking to do a simple internship. This meaning an unpaid little venture into our world. Now, incentives you ask? I know working for free isn't anyone's favorite thing! However:
- This is a small task and should not take someone very long who is acquainted with animation.
- This adds to your experience and portfolio. We give credit where credit is due and you have full rights to show off the work you do for us.
- You will be involved in a project that can lead to further work (even paid!) and networking.
Pretty much a great opportunity for a new to the scene animator (the video game industry is not easily accessible without experience) or college students.
Now, if you're interested, I'll highlight the basics of what we are looking for.
The project:
- Animate a character model (humanoid) that has been rigged. The animations are things such as: moving arms, legs, spinning. Essentially, it will be put together to "do a little dance", but I doubt get down tonight ;)
