A complex story's end is often times quite simple.
Geralt finished his epic quest, what did he do at the end, simple - he enlisted in the army.
But as an asset, he was far too valuable to be just a simple footman. He was registered as ordinance and lived his life as a drop trooper and went by the nickname of Chuck Nor-something.
It was glorious.
