I can't imagine the awesomeness of the Warhammer 40K universe colliding with Star Wars in a movie, whether they are fighting, or working together to destroy a tremendous threat. Just.........EPIC!

it can't happen cause W40K is only limited to three games and one animated movie(Which looks more like an game movie tho) and Star wars is an whole franchise of movies, cartoons, games etc...W40K is right now in a dump considering what happened to THQ and only Games Workshop can decide what it wants to do with it, Frank;y I think there won't be more then Tabletop and 40K lore coming out now and nothing else more ._. there is no news of 2be released games and those games kinda look out dated by now.

dude drop the Warp dust, it's rotting your brain

limited to three games and a movie? wot? i mean i'm honestly confused here, what are you after? are you implying that that's the extent of multimedia WH40k material? did you forget the countless novels, novellas and audio dramas - the Horus Heresy series alone is ENORMOUS - and all the background material compiled over the years in dozens of official Codices?

and three games? i take it that's DoW 1 & 2 plus Space Marine. what happened to Chaos Gate? Rites of War? Final Liberation? Space Hulk? the newer things like Armageddon and Space Wolf (which isn't out yet but still), AND the Space Hulk remake and the upcoming horror FPS RPG version of it? and soon there's going to be Eternal Crusade too, and there has DEFINITELY been news of that all across the internet. have you been living under a rock? no offence intended.

games looking dated? who cares if they're solid games and play well? hell, people still play Half-Life 2 and that's ten years old, as is DoW1. DoW1's gameplay is ageless and Star Wars hasn't even had an actually solid game in years.

WH40k's non-tabletop side is in a dump just because THQ sank like a brick?

if you've kept your eyes active and aware, you should see that GW is actually getting more open with lending the license to game developers and such; in the past we only had one or two games at a time, in 2015 there's going to be a whole wave of them: Horus Heresy Drop Assault, Space Wolf, the Space Hulk FPS, Eternal Crusade... and they'll probably be announcing more too. and the literature keeps marching on, Space Marine Battles books and other standalone spin-off prints come out all the time, and the Horus Heresy series won't end until the Black Library guys get to the point where they absolutely have to write about the Siege of Terra.

in case you're trying to say that WH40k fluff doesn't have enough to offer in comparison to Star Wars', you're dead wrong. it's a universe just as massive, only less culturally significant.

You forgot something real big that Star wars beats W40K at, "Everyone" accepts it.

with the right marketing decisions WH40k could be made into a huge sci-fi franchise too, it has so much potential to be iconic. huge and zealous Space Marines, the Orks and their black comedy, hellish daemons and co., the gothic design of absolutely everything, the mind-blowing scale... if that stuff appeared on the big screen, even people new to the universe couldn't walk out of the theatre without things like walking cathedrals, undead lovecraftian alien robots and "FOR THE EMPEROR" forever burned into their minds.

the most difficult part of course is actually making a film about something as vast as WH40k

And GW getting off its own *** and Ego of course do all that...WH40K has potential but no good managers that can point it towards a good end, Just like Half life 3

Well there is fun on one side and profit on another, if GW makes WH40K alive then they will have to lose their own standing as the sole owner of the franchise cause you have to sell certain rights to certain companies to expand your product..and these rights go away with along considerable profit.

I was thinking, per say of them or Star Wars going through a loop in time and space in which the Warp had been torn somehow and teleported them to another universe and ran across each other. is or it's not feasible. :/

that would make it break the so called 4th wall and make it more of a comedy rather then "Grimdark"

Plus it sounds like bad fan fiction like The Hobbit movies, the Star Wars prequels or Return of the Jedi. Also Star Wars tech is actually rather primitive compared to even Ork or 40k PDF technology but doesn't look it. They would be baby shaked even against the Tau.
I also wouldn't trust writing a 40K movie to no one except the four best writers for 40k fluff. Graham McNeill,Dan Abnett,Sandy Mitchell,& Aaron Dembski-Bowden.
