One of the reasons why warhammmer will always come on top of most universes is because everything is over the top to the point of being ridiculous, the grimdarkness of the dark future there is only grim will make any other universe look lightharted and weak.
Of course there are other universes that can wipe the floor with WH40K's face even with the Chaos, warp and the Necron Lords, nids and orks.
But any discussion will probably end with Deux Ex Machinas and faboy rage
