I haven't touched up on my Eldar lore in a long time, but I thought that the Dark Eldar and Craftworld Eldar despised each other.

actually they are after the Eldar so they can make'em their salves and get rid of bunch of tyranids, or just make'em their slaves and get the heck out of this place...

well there's that talk of the enemy of your planet-devouring enemy being your friend

besides, Tyranids are probably one of the only things in 40k that can make any major race strike a temporary truce with another. Tyranids, Chaos and Orks.

Iyanden was saved by Dark Eldar, once. I think. I'm pretty sure it was.

True, but they despise all non-Eldar much more than they do each other. They may have their ideological differences, but at the end of the day, they are still all Eldar and thus work together when needed. The distinction between Craftworld Eldar, Commorite Eldar, Corsairs and Exodites is not all that big, and it is not that uncommon for Eldar to "switch over" to a different group.

Dark Eldar have an ulterior motive. Some of the Necron dynasties at least have a sense of honor when allying with others.
