dont forget the Indian social caste system.
Indeed, that too.
Although, to be specific, many old cultures employed the caste system, so paralels could be drawn between any of those.

Except the Indian caste system was set up as a Pyramid, all castes in the tau are equal and needed, the only one that is on top of the others is the ethereal caste
