I really am surprised that Khrone can be satisfied with puny human skulls compared to many other species that have more larger craniums....Even orks find human anatomy not very decorative.
You speak as if there was a limit of skulls he can have and he chooses human skulls over others.
He takes all skulls, human skulls are just in high supply. (And most of those skulls belonged to servants of the Anathema. This probably makes it even better.)
there's also the fact that humanity is apparently the favored species of Chaos, so the gods get more kicks out of humans (and human derivatives) doing stuff to eachother than aliens debauchery.

Wait, on a logic/lore basis, do those kind of weapons exist? I mean the Bolter that seems to have a bullet belt like a LMG?
oh yes, Chaos Space Marine miniatures come with bullet belt boltguns by default. supposedly it's meant to convey how much of their equipment is scavenged and improvised.
