a leap or two and they're within lightning claw range - those Tau better be quick at shooting or they'll be quicker at dying.
I'd be more worried that a Knight got itself into in melee range. Shrike must have somehow rolled the "Tactical Genius" Warlord trait.

It's indeed Mary Tzu, and that meme needs to be hit with Phosphex. The best way to deal with (xeno scum) Mary Sues is to either ignore, mock them or kill them in a brutal fashion.
I.e. decapitation or a sub-zero burning temperature subsistence.
