It has been said many times before, but I will say it again: A ******* space marine, be he a quite powerful Grey Knight or not, cant on his own fight a Deamon PRIMARCH and his guards like that, not to speak of carving his name in his heart

I agree. Even Emperor, who possesed power of thousands psykers, was mortally wounded (and eventually killed) by his son, just a common primarch with little chaos power! And here were have almost common space marines, lil' upgraded by the Emperor's gene seed, which are pwning deamon primarchs and greater deamons as a piece of cake.

I think that all the situation aroud this grey dude on drugs must be reconsidered, or at least duly and adequately justified. I know it's their universe, they are free to do whatever they want, but if they will neglect their own rules, it won't be good.

uh... "common space marines" upgraded with generations of training, specifically designed anti-demon weapons and tactics, and "hard-coded" immunity to demons through their training.

To look at it another way, Horus was the first "demon prince" and the Imperium had little to no idea what they were up against at that point. GK have come a looooooong way since the first time they were created to fight Chaos; they're like the SWAT of Space Marines - specifically designed to pwn demons.

Another real-world example: anti-tank infantry with anti-tank RPGs. Sure, the tank is more "powerful", but the RPG trooper will still wreck the tank if they get the chance to fire. It's the same thing again, a specifically designed weapon will still do its specifically desingated job even if it can only do that one job.

Horus wasn't a daemon prince. That's the first. He was just a great swordsman and a newbie user of chaos powers. And still, he sent an Empepror into eternal coma with a single strike. The Emperor! Who lived thousands years, who was the most powerful psyker in the universe, whose power and protection against all kinds of threats was beyond imagine. And he eventually died.

And what we have now? Grey Knights, yeah, specially trained, yeah, using speacial weapons, yeah, having Emperors gene seed inside... but still a blind copy of the Emperor. And THEY can easily wander in the Warp, like in the sunny beaches, slaying deamon princes with 10k years of experience? This is ridiculous. This fact drops shadow on the achievements and abilities of the Emperor.

You know, if Imperium has Draigo, "grim darkness of the far future", as an introduction of each WH40k book states, in fact is not that grim :D

I am sick of people saying Grey Knights were unstopable badasses that Chaos gods would run from, they're tough, but not that tough.

Adeptus Custodes tho, those guys were quite good, Constantin Valdor was said to match a primarch in strenght and ability, but I doubt he could put up a fight against a Daemon Primarch, esp. after they gained power for the past 10k years. I will say it, canon preferes those blind imperial idiots over the rest

There was such Chaos Lord of Nurgle, as Festernius. He led a band of Lords of Decay. He slained in a single combat 7 Custodes, including their sergeant.

Ummm. Horus didn't defeat the Emperor with one swing. He defeated Sanguinius with one swing and only after Sanguinius had killed a Bloodthirster with his bare hands. Horus was defeated by The Emperor just barely but he still LOST! Grey Knights are designed to fight daemon's so how realistic would it be for the daemons to always win? Come on man!! You guys don't have to try to break down and debunk everything in 40k. I mean really!
