See, this is why I like IG.
Astartes wear a tank worth of armor on every inch of their body, have superhuman reflexes, stamina, intelligence, all around OP stats. They also wield burst fire rocket launchers.
Guardsmen are regular imperial citizens, run-of-the-mill humans, only the bare minimum training, and got a t-shirt and laser pointer worth of combat gear. Yet:
Put a greater deamon right on the face of a tactical squad, they go "SQUAD BROKEN!"
Put a chaos terminator right in front of guardsmen, they go "BRING IT ON!"

I genuinely wish the guards would get more attention than those glorified abhumans. A guard is a pure human, the ture symbol of humanity's strengths.

While a SM is little more than a gun-servitor with the ability to think.

I wish they would get more recognition, maybe a nod from rawbooy as the true force that held the Imperium together for 10,000 years.

(BTW that plague terminator is surprisingly "clean")

The Plague Marine isn't even holding his weapon correctly. The Guardsman has got this.
