"Come forth to bear the Word of Chaos! By the immutable will of the true gods, tear down the decayed monuments to the decrepit Imperium. Go, slay all whom worship the false emperor."

they do, and mock the loyalists for their ignorance of it.

Actually the Imperial truth tells the Truth that the Chaos gods are not gods but infact emotions manifest incarnate,

IF the Imperium knew this they would stop worshiping them in general by being more preserved (like Interex) and starve the Chaos Gods.

The Emperor was present in the Universe BEFORE Ragey,Schmey and Zitpop was even born and he knew what was the True nature of these guys and the Warp in general and that was the Imperial Truth.

If Chaos knew the Imperial Truth they wouldn't mock them but infact prevent them from finding out about it cause that would bring its own downfall or make it back into the Realm of Souls.

the Imperial Truth was the school of thought promoted/enforced by the Emperor that there are no gods, daemons or other supernatural phenomena in the universe. it does not even acknowledge that the Ruinous Powers exist in the first place, in any form.

the Traitor Legions' oldest veterans remember the Emperor's teachings and thus mock loyalists for their worship of Him, which is grossly against everything that was promoted and worked for during the Great Crusade. Ahzek Ahriman, Fabius Bile and Warsmith Kalkator are amongst those who have told loyalists to their faces how misguided their religion is. the loyalists of course have taken it as nothing but traitor lies and blasphemy towards the Emperor.

technically (and as far as i know canonically), most Space Marine Chapters still quietly uphold the Imperial Truth, as they don't worship the Emperor as an actual god but venerate Him as their forefather, spiritual guide, the ultimate warrior and the father of the Imperium whose example and ideals they must strive towards or die trying. there are exceptions, of course, like the Black Templars.

HERESY!

That's the word that made the comeback when the Imperial Truth turned to Imperial Faith.

But here is a question, what DOES make the Chaos Gods in first place?
Belief or Emotion?
(Orks belief in the Color Red and anything else involving duct tape makes things work for them)

The Chaos Gods are indeed manifestations of emotions, but feed off of belief in them. Slaanesh was the only Chaos God born by a race other than humanity's emotions, yet thrives because of humanity's worship and the souls of the Eldar.

Now in the Orks case, they have a certain psychic boon supposedly left over from the Old Ones and the Krork, wherein mass belief in something will cause it to be true for them, they of course, do not know this, otherwise they might be able to believe their enemies (themselves included) out of existence.

but the very case also pertains with the Humanity's belief in Emperor being a God instead of a Super Powerful Psyker.
Wouldn't that cause him to become a God in the Warp in General with all the Humanity believing him to be? (Enforced specially by the Inquisition)
(incase of Eldar/Orks it works and they have several Gods based around their Psyches)
