Tau Pathfinder. You won't find a more useless unit in the tabletop game.
Uhhh, ratlings?
I'm not sure I'd call them useless, they are still quite useful IMO, you just have to equip them with a few shield drones. They are definitely MUCH more useful than vespids used to be.
Pathfinders cost more points than Fire Warriors. There are way better options for Markerlights such as Crisis suits with Marker Drones and Tetras. Or if you have the points SkyRays.
IDK. I use them, and they work fine for me. I like the extra weapons and drones they get over fire warriors. Also, they get more markerlights than other options in general, so I can get more markerlight counters off of them. I agree that they are kind of weak now, but I don't consider them useless.
Whiteshields?
I hardly see any armies with Pathfinders. All I see are XV8's XV88's Riptides, 2 squads of Fire Warriors, dome Devilfish tanks with twin linked plasma and that's it.
Here we see lets call him "Beer-Tau" trying to catch a drink before he is caught by his commanders.
I know it not but Why does the thing in the Pathfinder's left hand look like one?
