Post news Report RSS Crash Bandicoot Returns became a game !

Many changes around Crash Bandicoot Returns! Now CBR is not a simple mod but officially a game! New blog, new Facebook page, soon a new video and pictures to come.

It's official now even on ModDB, the CBR mod becomes a game in itself. But this novelty also included a new communication system for all of you and more ways for our professional workspace.

Since the last article, I took the time to post a new Facebook page, which this time will be a community page and not a product. The Facebook page will be used primarily to communicate important information. But also to all of you to contact our team and between you. Feel free to share items you find on the net about the game, or other information media.

I also posted an official blog, which will keep all information internal and external to the project also (I think including interviews and articles from other websites and magazines).

I have also provided online all the videos of the game now, there are the videos of the mod. I'll post soon a first video with CryEngine 3. But it will take some time because development is longer with this engine. But do not worry, I'll post pictures regularly online in the meantime.

Also, I thought about the possibility of a weekly video around the development. The idea is to show you how we actually develop the game, however I would like to have your opinion.

Feel free to share as much as possible links to sites mentioned above, to allow us to meet perhaps new talented teammates, which greatly accelerate development.

Thank you all for your support!

Finally, here is the first official music of the game At least, it will be officially used, normally in the level with UFOs.

Music composed by Manuel Massobrio.

This is what I try to do. This is also why I propose a weekly video or at least every two weeks to show a little behind the scenes development.

I know that it will take a long time for a release because the team have to do all the assets, animation, code, etc. but you have idea when we will have acess to a beta or something like that?

I know that the videos are old but you need to edit the walk/running animation because crash is like The Hunchback of Notre Dame on these animations , but sounds pretty cool the idea of the game!

keep on good work.

It must be at least the 100th time I explained that this is not a bug but a problem of skeleton ... x) In this version that we will develop, we integrate our own skeleton.

And for the beta or demo, I have no idea. It is too early to say. Expect to have already developed something playable.

You bought the licence from Naughty Dog?

No lol. Moreover Naughty Dog sold the license long ago to Vivendi Universal. Which was then sold to Activision. But making a game free and independent is not a problem, since we do not sell it.

Yeah, but Activision can C&D you if they want.

Vivendi just passed the licence to Activision, like for Spyro, since Vivendi owns Activision...
