Description

Fighting in skirmish battles is a lot of fun, when the game is good. One battle alone doesn't make up for a whole war. There are few games who let you play on a global mode witch really ads more depth into the whole game. a lost battle may have been successful cuz you destroyed something of value and later makes the difference between winners and losers. Kane's Wrath has done that very well, other games i can think of are Empire Earth 3 (sadly with some issues), the total war series, Empire at war and BFME2. What makes Kane's Wrath's global mode really stand out are the winning conditions witch differ for each faction. you can eradicate any opposition or for example as nod spread chaos over the civilian population, as gdi build bases everywhere while the scrin love building their towers because they are good for something we don't know. I would really like to see more games with that feature, it adds many hours of enjoyment to the game and brings it all to a higher level of fighting. Such wars can take days as most battles are fought actively, you can let the computer decide who wins by waging the forces out. All in all having more modes is always a + so this was definitely done well.
